I actually  respect ballislife moreso than someone coming in a thread and saying he sucks to cause commotion. 15th cant get here soon enough.

as a smart black kid with diverse interests this album is so relatable

white kids get to wear whatever hat they want, when it comes to black kids one size fits all

i downloaded take care and camp, and other than being glad my ipod didnt explode from all the emo, i found myself playing camp more. that power

Dude can rap, but its just not really something that holds my interest. Camp was cool... probably wont listen again outside of a few tracks. Son spazzed on Bonfire though

I've only listened to The Great Gambino and Camp, and IMO he's 2/2. I feel he has room for progress as an artist in terms of lyrics and production, however I still put him over almost every other new rapper. To me this album is better than Take Care, not as good as Thank Me Later though, obviously.

Hell no

That simply don't rock in many high schools in Brooklyn that I know of. There was a music class but nobody was holding after school singalong clubs. When I got the gist of Glee though I didn't know schools did that until I seen the show. I don't see the connection with Donald's music and the show.

I think Section 80 but I don't remember off top.

That only got an 8 everything else is 5s or 6s. I'd like to hear what he thinks is a 10.

There's some heat with their good qualities on here but after listening to Camp in it's entirety I'm sceptical that he's a little one dimensional. Crooning hooks is not diversity.

Edit - I more or less agree with Fantano.

what do you mean recycling Freaks and Geeks?
Have you listened to Culdesac and his music prior to Freaks and Geeks?

he's not recycling, I feel like he is doing the opposite, fresh air in music.

Freeks and Geeks - References, @#$%ing girls of many different ethnicities, more pop culture references, being black and appealing to white people. <--- Suprise suprise, that's 50% of CAMP's content.

Yes

Try listening better maybe. I like him, I want him to do well, but don't talk to me if you're trying to say that he isn't recycling. I mean the lines are @#$%ing interchangeable between songs

I don't want you to think I'm missing the point of why it's appealing and enjoyable - I get it. I can enjoy the stuff he put out originally. It's cute punchlines that are in your face enough you never really have to think about and can just chill,

, and have fun with. But you can't build a career on that corny empty punchline @#$%. It becomes shallow and transparent very quickly. If I want references references and references I'll watch community.

I agree. I'm really curious what albums this guy thinks are classics and what his favorite MCs are.

I don't think the scores are really made to be aligned with each other. More or less, it's just how good it is compared to how good he see's it could have been. He isn't really on that "oh I gave album A an 8, and Album B a 7.5, therefore, album A is Better" @#$%. It isn't that.

I mean he's stated before if the main thing you take from his reviews is the bull@#$% score at the end that isn't nearly important as what he's saying about the actual music, then you probably shouldn't be paying mind to his reviews in the first place.
