Official Childish Gambino (Donald Glover from Community) Thread - Signs multiyear deal w/ Amazon and opts out of FX partnership

Any reviews on how the show was? Debating if I wanna spend 80 on stubhub and drive 3 hours. Saw him in 2011 and he killed it, plus Because The Internet was one of my favorites of last year.

I went to the San Diego show, and dude killed it. It's interesting because it was a full house, but it still felt like a more personal show. He interacted with the crowd a lot and the setup was really cool. The band was serious too.

If you were like me, you thought,"(insert song here) would sound sick live", you'd be 100000% right. "Crawl" live is everything you dreamed it would be and more. Same with "Earth: The Oldest computer". He did just about the whole album, then the background changed from a more computer themed one to a campfire, and you already knew it was on. "Bonfire" hit, and man, everyone went crazy. He did a good amount of Camp, and then he left. Everyone wanted more and started cheering for him to come back. He then came back out and freestyled a bit and killed it. Then Steve G came out and freestyled with him, and they did 1UP and some tracks off of Royalty. Then he left. Then he came back out AGAIN and did "Eat Your Vegetables" and I think two more tracks and was gone for good.

It's a great show. If you're on the fence, GO.
I didn't get pics of the merch, but my friends grabbed a shirt that had his face from the album made out of soundwaves. There was a redish one and a grey one. The shirts were really soft like an AA one, but it was another organic brand.

There is also a limited, numbered vinyl edition of Because the Internet. They were out of 500, so I'm not sure if he's selling 500 altogether or 500 at each stop, but it was only like $20-25 so scoop it if you want and wait for him to come out after the show and he'll sign it.

@NCTw When he came out to sign stuff, was this inside the venue or outside by like a tour bus?

Wanna go bad but having transportation issues :smh: wish he would have done his show downtown.

I listened to this dude from Culdesac to his EP. I wasn't really feeling "Camp" though, I felt like he went a different direction with that album. How would you guys compare his latest album to Camp? And what are some recommendations/outstanding tracks on this album I should sample? I wanna give this guy another chance.

Good thing I got my ticket when I did, prices on stub hub jumped another 20 bucks for the Detroit show. Wonder if they will drop soon.

So I'm finally checking out Clapping For The Wrong Reasons...

In that first scene Chance is in, was that Gambino song playing ever released? Never heard it before..

I'm reminded that I have to wait over a month for the oakland show sighh

But from what I saw on the camp tour last year, GO!!!! Great performer with awesome visuals. Since I'm such a fanboy he'd be one of a few people I wouldn't mind seeing by myself

Show was GREAT. The venue was a little crowded and I eventually said screw it and moved back a bit to be in a less crowded area and actually had a better view. Got vinyl 55/500 and Donald liked 2 of my pics on instagram, SOLID night.
