I call myself a sneakerhead purely based on my love, bordering on infatuation, for sneakers. For the most part I've never really posted on forums but recently I've had extra time to sit on the computer and write and respond to stuff. Just had a baby boy so im almost always home now. Been a NT member since like 07 and I've run into different types of sneakerheads. you got the ones like me
LEISURE: Laid back, inquires about the kicks they like and have an afinity for the kicks they had or wish they had when they were younger. Then you have the

BRAINS: they are extremely meticulous. They seem to know everything about everything! they really know their stuff. from the designer to the exact release date. Helpful. Then theres the

SNOB: he/she knows his stuff very well but expresses so in a way that is very condescending and uncalled for.

then theres different combos of the 3... which are you? any experiences, thoughts?

Real Talk: I find kids who live in a place where they are one of the few that know about sneakers are snobs.

I've lived in many places in my life from LA to Mass to New Hampshire..when I lived in Mass many kids were informed and didn't act snobby..I move to New Hampshire and there are only a handful of kids who know kicks but all of them are snobs

i wouldnt say im a snob about it, but i always try to drop knowledge cause people ask me questions about. I dont mind the long convo like that person up there...(lol)...I have a passion for shoes and im willing to let that be known, and "educate" anybody thats willing to learn. but thats with anything im passion about.

I really dont care.

If i decide to wear "heat" i really dont expect ANYONE to know that it is.. So obviously im doin it for me.

I live in the suburbs and all , so i dont expect many ppl to say omg those are the [ie: "Dunkman 3s"]

So i jus do it for me. Wen i walk into stores like footaction or something and employees say "Damn man u have like every Bron VII" Im jus like "Ha yessuh" or "Thanks man" (nh)

But yea so idk..

Yea I'm like that as well, just sometimes I come off as a snob due to me constantly correcting people about Colorways, when a shoe released and things of that nature. I just always run into the people who persist that they're right about a shoe, when facts prove that they're wrong. Me being the person that I am, I tend to correct these people and piss them off or confuse them...Or Both...So eeeeeh...Iono sometimes i liek to talk about shoes with people. Other times however, I'll pass unless I know this person has legit kick knowledge.

This is so true.

I went to college in Philadelphia where there was a good amount of people that were educated on sneakers.  But i moved back home to MD (Suburbs, Bel Air) and i would say i am more snobish now.  It just gets annoying when you wear shoes and people try and talk to you about them and know nothing or claim they have them in 8 different colors that don't even exist.

People never take kindly to..."Those colors aren't real, your shoes are fake".  So i have stopped caring and gone with the "Thanks man, wow you must have a sick collection" and walk away.

Spoiler [+]
Some good lines iv got "Wow did you paint your eggplants blue?"  "I got them spacejams in all red"  "Yo i got special edition clear jordans they cost me like 500"

Haha naw, but I'll talk about shoes, but I do "discriminate" on what the guy is wearing at times. And plus, my girl hates it when I have her waiting while holding the bags and She 'specially HAAAATES it when it's a female asking me questions! She's like " That b*tch doesn't know what she's talking about". haha she cracks me up. But yeah, Its A GOOD way to get connects. Lil convos will get you employee appreciation discounts!
