I feel you but at the same time intentionally spilling it on the shoes is still childish and does compromise the shoe. Maybe not completely ruin it but definitely changes it at least a little.

Me personally when I buy a shoe im thinking longevity. I want the shoe to last me at least 10-20 years if not longer. Spilling coke all over my shoes intentionally does not help that cause

why would anybody use coke to clean anything? the sugary syrup and food coloring leave a mess after it evaporates.
