I thought you were saying that because he was white and named this it was wrong. Didn't know you just don't like the name Spook in general regardless. 

One could also say that you are over sensitive as well though...

Spook was a slur that was used as a term for african americans in the 1940's

Spooky- Suggestive of ghosts or a ghost; eerie. OR Easily startled; skittish.
Which is what I believe the name Spooky Black comes from
Black= darkness, void, ect


the more obscure definition of the word Spooky that you are implying everyone knows is
1. like or befitting a spook; suggestive of spooks.
2. eerie; scary.
3. (esp. of horses) nervous; skittish.

There is also a DJ who goes by the name DJ Spooky
