When I was in HS some dude walked in with a Dmp 6 on one foot and a dmp xi on the other. Is he wildin or is that a good idea? It was in '06 when they first dropped if that matters.

Naw fam. I know who DJ Esco is. The disappointing part to me isn't that the kids know who DJ Esco is. The sad part to me is that they see a picture of Nas being referred to as Esco and go wild thinking its some foolish mistake. Saying we're clueless is an assumption because I keep up with this new age of music as well. I just think it's a little disheartening that this newer generation doesn't seem to find it as important to learn about the older generations of Hip-hop. Because learning about those that came before used to be a given.
