"There's no such thing as bad publicity." - This has never been more true than it is now in the days of the Internet. You can run entire presidential camapaigns on this principle, apparently. Just get people talking about you as much as possible by any means necessary, that's all that matters. In the end, it will work to your advantage. And if gets really bad, just make an apology later on and enjoy the profits of the publicity you've obtained, maybe even get some more people to know you because the apology will be a story in itself and will give you even more publicity. It pisses the **** out of me that this principle works so well, because it's so easy and it rewards people for being ****. But it really does work.
