folk really don’t like austin rivers…even tho nfl guys are better athletes overall i definitely agree that there are more nba players that could play snaps in the nfl than vice versa, there already examples of college basketball players who have been able make that happen and not any football players that have done so

"JUST being athletic/big" can get your further in football than basketball due to basketball being such a technically demanding sport.

I think the wording might be the issue here. I also believe that out of all the sports, the easiest crossover for any pro athlete would be into football, rather than from football into anything else. You need a different type of skill to hit a ball, put a ball in a basket, handle a puck with skates, etc. In football, there are a multitude of positions that a pro athlete can excel at if they have the physical stature for it. That doesn't necessarily mean they would be good or elite, but in my opinion, it would be easier for a basketball player who has never played football to excel than vice versa. However, if you were to make a team of basketball players go up against football players, they would fail just as miserably as the other way around.

Charlie Ward.

technically i wouldn’t count him as solely a football player as he was still playing both sports in college & never was an nfl player…and not saying that it isn’t possible as they have been quite a few dual sport guys that were valid in both sports but it just seems obvious that there’d be a higher likelihood for a pro basketball player to find success in football as opposed to a pro football player doing so in basketball
