Air Signature player.  I'm two for two!  FYI - I worked for NIKE Basketball back when all these released and this is bringing back great memories.

Actually no LOL I was thinking about another Nike Basketball shoe that was made of full grain leather upper. (Slaps forehead not able to recall model name), sort of a forward's position shoe due to the Max Air unit. I'm sure if I look into my Bobbito Garcia book it'll be there...

Still have my DS pair of all black Signature Players, sz 11 in storage... Anyone wants, lmk... I'd rock them but afraid of spraining ankles like everyone else who reviewed them on Niketalk complained about... Funny enough they "fit" better than any other Foam based shoe I can recall...

there was some air max basketball shoes in the same cw as those specters. I tried finding a pic but no luck.

Good, glad somebody helped OP out.  I just came across a pair of Specters and was gonna post it if nobody else had.

As for the other question, the only basketball shoes the sketch reminded me of were the Total Max Uptempo 2 (I think that's the name), plus they had a colorway as described too.  Here's the only picture I could find at the time (center, silver/red):

But leather upper comment made me think otherwise.  So the Chosen Max came to mind as well:
