Official Shoe Release/ Store Sale Thread DMV

What questions do you have??

As a manager at a FinishLine, we are only allowed to say so much... We cannot tell people how many pairs, or how many in each size... Also, with the "Draft" thing that we do, each [air is accounted for... I have no idea if someone won't show up to get their pair...

And as far as employees coping before the customer, Finishline has a draft for employees too... If you don't win, you are SOL

I usually call most dtlr shoecity footaction and footlockers and whenever I ask 1st if they are getting the 11s,2nd how are u releasing em,3rd what day will y'all be given out tickets. The last question is when I get the most attitude from em. Its been going on with past releases too. Baltimore area

I cannot speak for each store, but in general we recieve about 400+ calls a day with the same questions. I know I get tired of answering them, I am sure others do too... Not making an excuse.

Perhaps asking, "How will you be releasing the XXX shoe?" will eliminate the 3 questions and eventual attitude?

I'm not saying I ask the questions in that exact order but instead that they are the main 3 questions I ask with the 3rd the one I ask the most and to more if an employee can't handle the nonstop questions for a big release then quit cuz that's not the right job for you. I usually don't bother with fnl but when I do I don't have too many problems.

I understand where u coming from tho

With DTLR and ShoeCity, what do you expect?? They are rude when you are in the store, I can imagine a phone call...

Glad Finishline is giving you problems... Perhaps you should stick with them, and then you wouldn't ahve the issues...

Finishline usually doesn't get most releases I want tho and when they do its the whole draft process which I don't like.

The only shoe we do a "Draft" for is the 11s each Christmas... All others are FCFS... What releases are you looking for that we don't get?

 you try answering the same 3 questions everyday, all day, 1000 times a day, 2-3 weeks ahead of release

If they can't handle quit as I said cuz its they're job to answer the same questions over. Also u can obviously tell I'm not into the limited from my profile pic alone man. I'm into all shoes.

hey its your job to answer the questions and what do you expect with the hype nowadays. Some people really want the shoe

But if it's been the same procedure for the past I'd say 2-3 years...there should be no doubt...guess word of mouth is nonexistent huh

[ C'mon man now you know how it is for big releases like 11s. Dtlr switches the day they give out tickets like crazy and its mainly cuz they trying to look out for their friends and family. Now I have no problem looking out for a couple of your loyal customers but I know when enough is enough. Its a whole lot of bs really. And I'm talking about my experiences from dtlr n other stores in Baltimore city

I guess bro

do you all know if the footlocker in montgomery mall is doing a raffle for the gammas tomorrow? i heard they were but i also heard that it would be at 6? in the morning right? or will it just be any time during the day you can go and submit an entry for the raffle? id really appreciate some help as i don't want to be there if i don't have to at 6am.

i never went to get them. i didn't want to camp so i figured showing up 15 minutes before the doors opened was probably a waste of time.

DTLR has always been shady...  They presell all their heat and then tell customers that they don't have the shoes.  I witnessed a local DTLR tell a lady that they didn't have any Jordan's (forget which release, sorry) and they had them all bagged behind the counter.  Then a hook-up walked in, gave the manager a ticket and walked out.  No money ever exchanged hands in the store that morning.  The lady approached the hook-up and asked how he got the shoes, and the guy just laughed at her, said you "gotta pay to play" and walked out.  The lady was in shock...  then she started going off on the manager until security removed her.  She throated to call Nike, but who knows...  I know that that DTLR has been doing business like that for a LONG time...

That is what is wrong with the game now...  You gotta prepay and overpay just to eat...  oh well...

EXACTLY why I don't F with the Foot Action or Foot Locker at Manassas Mall, VA. I have signed up for 6 raffles each store and no call back, I could see if I did only one store. But out of 12 chances NOTHING. I could BS.
