Nike your creative genius is not showing.

Great conversation guys. Since I am one of the older guys on here I have been around long enough to notice the trend towards higher prices and less cushioning. Lunarglides are comfortable but I don't run in them. I actually run in free 5.0s which as we all know have no air but have found these work best for my feet and knees but I have several pairs I rotate and pairs I only use in races because they don't last. For basketball I love zoo
And have been disappointed in Nike continuing to raise prices and cut out.cushioning and people on here are just eating it up. My feet love zoom for bball and pretty much all my kicks I play in have either heel and forefoot zoom or full length zoom. I passes on hypejunk and rises because of the cushioning setup I can't believe people are so hyped up over the hyperfuse that just have forefoot zoom. I guess that's just today's generation. Kobes have a heel zoom unit and just that little metatarsal unit but cost over 100 bucks, and we had zoom tennis trainers for 85 with heel and forefoot and zoom bb 1 for 110 and bb2 for 100 with full length zoom I am just alot more selective now and will be getting out the game pretty soonTyping on my phone sorry for the spelling errors

Really?  I worked in footwear research and development with NIKE Basketball and Brand Jordan.  I also collected 150-200 pairs of NBA pro make-ups (player exclusives) in my size range of 15 -16.  The majority of the shoes were made for Tim Duncan, Scottie Pippen, Kevin Garnett, Michael Finley, David Robinson, Shariff Abdur-Rahim, and Vin Baker.  The only athlete I'm aware of who consistently wore altered shoes was Scottie Pippen - he preferred Zoom Air to Air Max.

What is your source of information?  Who are these players, what models are they wearing, and what changes are being made to the shoes?
dont pay any attention to Nat Turner aka Coach Hubie. Dude makes *#@$ up. he hates nike, kobe, lebron, and zoom air. Every chance he gets he tries stuffing adidas down our throats. hes been banned on here about 8 times and has been known to reply to his own post with other screen names he has. when of the most hillarious moments in niketalk history was when he slipped and replied to his own comment with the same screen name

This is one of Grant Hill's shoes for Adidas. Knowing that he has had multiple surgeries on his ankle, Grant didn't have, nor want, anything special in his shoes. He just wanted a good solid shoe, and adidas gave it to him.
and then he left adidas and has been playing in the nike hyperize ever since you know that one shoe that supposedly was banned from the piston locker room.

Look this topic really does need to be discussed but not with people who are known to LIE and reply to themselves.

So Nat are you ever gonna explain why lebron went back to playing in zoom air in the playoffs after you said he went to max air because zoom was hurting his back? I mean you know how million dollar ballers just LOVE to have back spasms in the playoffs only RIGHT?

We are having a civil discussion here, and you've come on attacking and slinging accusations, then not contributing to the thread.I know you work for Nike, but I am willing to be civil with you here, then discussing the topic. If not, I will not respond to you here negatively about who I may be, or what it is that I really like. I've told you, I will see you in person. I know who you are, but you do not know who it is that I am. So when I approach, then telling you who I am, don't +#%+% up.

Now if  you wish to be civil, then man up, discuss this like an adult, it is your choice. If you scream like this on a message board, I can imagine what you are going to sound like in person.

Now it is up to you, change my mind. Maybe when we meet up, I might treat you with respect.

According to Detroit Free Press:
"I'm not going to name the brand of shoe it was, but it has been banned from our locker room and the guys aren't allowed to wear it," Kander said. "These shoes had taken most of the support out of the sides and it was a lighter shoe. Most basketball shoes weigh between 1.4 and 1.7 pounds.

"These shoes were weighing 0.8 pounds, which was way too light as far as side support. Since we've banned the shoe, knock on wood, we haven't had any ankle sprains. Hopefully, the good Lord willing, we won't have any more and we can finish the season healthy and see what these guys can really do."

We’ll let Rich Lopez explain…
For the past six seasons, LeBron has played exclusively in sneakers that feature Nike’s Zoom Air technology. It was said that he wouldn’t play in anything else, until now. Nike Zoom Air is a low profile/highly compressed Air Unit that was developed for quicker and lighter players. Nike Max Air is a large volume Air Unit designed to be responsive and absorb greater force. Though LeBron plays a quick game, at 6-8, 250 lbs., Nike and LeBron have finally decided to go Max Air.
_____

I hope that Nike isn't putting their premier NBA star in jeopardy, by allowing his to switch back to what was causing the problem in the first place. Just as CWK stated, Pippen was switched to zoom air in his sig, I worked in footwear research and development with NIKE Basketball and Brand Jordan. The only athlete I'm aware of who consistently wore altered shoes was Scottie Pippen - he preferred Zoom Air to Air Max.
so I am certain that the reverse can be done for a player of LeBrons stature, especially in his playoff shoes.

What do you think Noble Kane, is this possible

Wouldn't Nike want to protect their investment?

Or do they just not give a damn?

Your turn..... let's see if you have the balls to respond intelligently, without screaming like you have been castrated.

I know a couple years ago Dirk had the heel Max unit in a mid-top, mid-level shoe switched to Zoom for him. He also had the 2K4 with laces all the way to the top instead of the strap. Just one example I know of that had altered shoes. And I thought Fat Joe said in an interview one time that he had a pair of Sheed's that were game-worn with a Zoom insole in them? Edit: These were the Dirk shoe.

dude once again you state NOTHING that backs your accusations. You post lies about the zoom air giving lebron back spasms and when they make a shoe for him in the playoffs that has zoom you post the same damn article. NOWHERE does it say it gave him back spasms. do you seriously not check what you type?

and again this is a great discussion but not with you in it because you have been an adidas fan boy and an anti nike person for YEARS.

1. i dont work for nike.

Yes you do, I know people who have worked with you that are at other companies now, and they do not speak highly of you. "Insane" is how you were described, and that you were intellectually inept.
2. you do not know who i am.

Yes I do, and when the time comes, we will need no introduction.

3. you have been banned over 8 times on this board and have been caught replying to yourself and you want to question who the adult is here?

Wrong, but this statement has nothing to do with this topic. You refuse to address the issue at hand, because you are not capable of using logic and reason. I smell fear, and you are the puppet.

4. You cannot discuss anything on here because you have burnt your bridge with the hidden agendas you have displayed for years.
This coming from the former big angry shoe monster, who works for Nike training now. Grow a pair, then address the topic at hand. I know that Nike is watching you, you can stop simpin'.

5. you will never see me in person because quite frankly i would be laughing so hard at you i wouldnt even be able to stand

I promise, I refuse to allow you to stand. But since we are *laughing*, care to address why it is that Nike shoes are so expensive, even though they are now using plastic as the main source?

6. i mean how many years has it been since your crusade to deem nike the devil began? so you find a few people who arent hip to your little game and now you can be civilized? give me a break. you are like the boy who cried wolf. how long has it been? 7 years? hows this anti nike pro adidas thing working out for you so far??
I have no crusade. Nike has sucked for a long time, as others here will attest on this very thread. That said, address the issue of Nike and their expensive and crappy product of poor quality.
