So, do you think KOBEs will be worth as much as JORDANs are now in 20 years?

I really don't think Kobes, Lebrons, or any other signature shoe releasing these days will ever be like Jordans are now in terms of $$. Nike produces a ton more Kobes than it did Jordans 20 years ago. We see dozens of colorways releasing all year long, while Air Jordans were usually released in 5 colorways max, and production numbers weren't anywhere near what they are today. There is still going to be quite the number of DS Kobes roaming around in 20 years, due to the current rise in collectors and people looking to move shoes as the game expands. I think people will always be collecting, but the price for pairs just isn't gonna be what a lot of us hope it to be down the road, largely due to the sheer number of pairs circling the market.

To add my my reply.....I think mostly GRs will be more rare/sought after in the future simply because they are GRs. Most won't have second thoughts about wearing em now and beating them to the ground so those will be rare to find DS or even clean worn pairs.

The good thing about the IV's and V's is they way they are made. It would take a real careless person or hours, after hours, of basketball use or just straight walking in mud to really dirty those shoes. Especially the V's.

I-III are solid shoes as well.

No bc Nike will retro it 5 times within 20 years.

Jordans arent as much no more either. People dont want OGs because they cant really wear em. True collectors like me are only looking for 2003 and before retros, but even those dont hold as much weight as before because Gentry is retroing the take down versions as far as quality goes. Dude's milking every penny.

Never.... JB brings in a lot for Nike.
Better tech than Jordans, yes...
Looks wise, your opinion... but the ZK3s may be a seeker in years to come

the ZK4,5,3,2(orcas) are def classics.. oh and dont forget the shoe of the decade... the 2k4 in many ppls/ballers eyes...

but as for looks against JB, nothing will ever beat these imo tho...

If kobe never caught that case, The huarache 2k4 and 2k5 would have been the kobe 1&2 add those with the 5 shoes with his name on it and you might have the greatest 1-7 sneaker lineup ever. Better than barkley, pippen, lebron and even mike. Back in the early 90's jordan 1-10 used to sit on shelves. Even the xi's werent flying off the shelves when they first came out.

Imo many Kobe shoes already have surpassed some of the most highly sought after Jordans. Just look at some of the prices on Ebay and other private sellers.

Kobe 1 (various special colorways) average price : $280 +
Kobe 1 (81 points) average price $800 +
Kobe 2 Strength (Orca) average price $200 +
Kobe 3 (Asia, MVP, Duke, etc) average price : $250 +
Kobe 4 (MLK, Carpe Diem, ASG, Finals, Four rings) average price : $290 +
Kobe 4 (Venom) average price $800 +
Kobe 5 (Finals) average price $280 +

All the GR will be harder to find couple years down the road too. Which mean they will go up in value

The Zoom Kobe 1 probably won't be retro until Kobe retire. Which probably won't be for another 4 or 5 years.

Lastly nobody know if Kobe will continue to let Nike making sigs for him after he retire. If they do like Jordans did, that will be

just like jordans in its haydays i think the tech was the best then but better things come along...so 20 years from now kobes might be regarded the same down the road and maybe we'll have some crazy future air tech or something like that...i think it can get up there.

then again jordans was the dominant sig models during its reign...whereas now we have so many options kobes, lebrons, sig quality shoes for every other player, it might not be the same type of dominance.

the only problem with kobes is it doesnt have that casual look that JB had

great basketball shoes that only look good on the courts/gym

As for lebrons... i see a similarity to the penny line more than anything. Not really touching JB either.
