Morning gentleman. My unlocked International Galaxy Note II just started downloading a 182.45MB update package today at work.

Curious if this is finally Android 4.2?

I've had 4.2 for months on my Galaxy Nexus, didn't really miss it on my Note II. Would be awesome to have the latest version tho'.

Is there a plugin for Twicca that lets you open up a tweet? Thats the only reason I'm still not using it now. What I mean by opening a tweet is this.

You cant do it and thats the feature that I need the most.

Anyone know how to change my phones prl to roam on Verizon? All I have to do is hit 300 mb and I think sprint sends you a notice you'll be terminated soon.

Got it. I can force roam with cyanogen. Net is pretty fast now goodbye sprint... we hopefully I get the happy goodbye letter soon.

Was thinking of replacing my laptop with an Acer Chromebook. Two questions: should I do it and would it be sufficient enough to carry my media library?

i'd get the $250 samsung arm based one instead and just get a tiny form factor 64gb usb stick or small external hard drive
lulz @ 4 hours of battery life on the acer one at best

I haven't used them, but I'd also get the Samsung version instead.

 

Down the road I'm strongly considering one of those as my 2nd/portable computer, in addition to a desktop with more ample storage. The Acer would probably be enough since it has a 320 GB hard drive, but the Samsung only has a 16GB SSD, but I'd prefer that considering my intended usage.

how much data u gobblin in one month?

Is this kind of thing normal? I can easily get more out of my phone with juice defender and not using it non stop like I do but should the screen be eating up this high of a percentage?

Just ordered the navy blue Ringke Slim case for the N4. I hope it looks nice...

About 15 gigs but that's not doing it. I found out you have to hit 300 mb of roaming data and you'll get the boot.

Slight problem with Google Play Music.

I'm using a Macbook, and you guys know how there's a Google Play icon in the menu bar? For the past couple days, I haven't been able to click on it to bring the drop down menu. It's like the icon is "frozen" or something. I've tried uninstalling the program, but the icon stays there. I've reinstalled it, and nothing happened.

Nexus 4? Did you just get it? It takes a couple of weeks to break in the battery. My friends Nexus 4 gets about 16-18 hrs now with 2-3 hrs of screen time.

it should. just remember you'll have to use google docs, which you can try out & see if it'll be suitable for you're needs before ordering.

So I'm always on Verizon. When you hit *4 it should go to Verizon instead of sprint.

I can't make changes to my albums sometimes or play the music on my computer, usually these bugs go away. Give it a couple days is my advice.

Antidope: I haven't seen that tweet pop up function on twicca. Would be nice if they added it.

I always had problems with my gnex with the screen being always around 50%...now with my N4 is only 25%. My up time is minimal tho.

also flash custom roms/kernels. it does wonders.

i have Xylon rom + Franco's Kernel right now. gets me ~4-5 hours screen time.

Anyone use the Poetic Borderline Bumper case for the Nexus 4? I know about the splitting issues, but with a 3 year warranty, I don't think you can go wrong. Also, if it were to split, could you request a different color?
