I always have the most difficult time searching for a case. Only because I HATE big cases, or cheap feeling cases. I pulled the trigger on the Samsung OEM Slim case and HANDS DOWN BEST CASE ive ever owned. I love the naked feel and this case is so thin, its perfect IMO.
I purchased it off Samsung site, received two cases for $25 shipped. The clear and the blue ice color. I currently have the White VZW SIII with the blue ice color and it makes the phone pop. It also helps with adding grip to the phone which was a must for me because the S3 naked was slippery.

I just ordered a similar case from Samsung but I went with the protective case.
Diztronic's case is also pretty good. No complaints about that one.

Someone offered me a GNex + 50 bucks for my Note. Should I take it?

Definitely!!! The GNEX though amazing is getting a little outdated. And the Note will still get you great money on the resale market. Which is great for you because there are some great new phones on the horizon which can hold you until the NEW Nexus is released.

When does Google usually release a new Nexus? I have a Note now, but that will definitely be my next one. Do they traditionally run for $500 from Google on the initial release?

South Korea home of Samsung has released VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) on the South Korean version of the SGSIII. This basically means voice AND data will be carried via LTE instead of just data. Verizon is currently testing VoLTE and it will be coming to the states in the not so distant future. This will slowly wean us from having to use CDMA for voice. I cannot wait for the day.

Nexus devices are USUALLY released alongside a revision of the Android OS. So whenever Google decides to release Key Lime Pie (which is the rumored new name) a new Nexus device should appear. This speculation is based off their past release trends.

A new Nexus or Nexus' will be out fourth quarter whether key lime pie releases this year or not. Google will release a new flagship model every year especially considering how fast the industry is moving and with A15 chips coming out soon the Galaxy Nexus is starting to look and feel ancient specs and design wise. Here's my theory, I think Google will  release 4 different Nexus devices this holiday season all running stock Jelly Bean and made from Samsung, Sony, HTC, and Motorola. Key Lime Pie will probably be 5.0 I just don't see them releasing it a few months after Jelly Bean especially since two devices officially run it at the moment. Their marketing strategy could include "a Nexus device for every major carrier" and if your on a GSM carrier you can buy any version from the play store with Sprint and Verizon having one Nexus device for their CDMA networks. A Motorola Nexus device going to Verizon under the "Droid Nexus" name and a HTC version for Sprint called the "HTC Evo Nexus". It may sound crazy but I do see Google doing this so they could push more Nexus devices in consumers hands and flood the market with Android phones running the latest and greatest OS updates straight from them.

Google experimenting with Nexus-like AOSP support for Sony Xperia S

Gallery Photo: Sony Xperia S unboxing and hands-on

This past week there was a little-noticed by very interesting development in the Android Open Source Project. Google's Jean-Baptiste Queru, who has long been the main source of AOSP developments from the company, kicked off "An experiment" with the Sony Xperia S. Google is looking to work with the community to directly support the Xperia S within the AOSP in a manner that's similar to how Google works with Nexus-class devices. Although the project is in very early days, if it's successful we could see more and expanded support for non-Nexus devices come directly from Google and the rest of the Android Open Source participants.

As for why the Xperia S was chosen to kick off this experiment, Queru actually puts it pretty succinctly himself: "it's a powerful current GSM device, with an unlockable bootloader, from a manufacturer that has always been very friendly to AOSP." Those last two elements are especially important. Locked bootloaders has been a point of contention for Android in the past few years, but we've seen some positive movement in that regard. More to the point, Sony has been amongst the most open and progressive of any Andoid OEM when it comes to working with the community, having released preview versions of its software upgrades before the actual release. It appears that the AOSP is rewarding that openness.

As Neowin notes, development for the experiment is in very early days, but interestingly it's possible that work done by the CyanogenMod team could also play a part here. For now, it's all a "bleeding edge" experiment, but we'll be watching to see if it turns into something more.

Lowkey... I think this is a big move. Non-Nexus devices getting AOSP support? This has potential.

After demolishing my Otterbox case due to wear and tear, I decided to go raw with my Evo................ :smh:

As you can imagine.....The screen cracked a couple of days later, rather than pay $100 for a defunct phone, I was gonna take a L and get the EVO 4g LTE..........

Is it worth the $350?

Is there a better phone?

Some assistance would be appreciated, anyone trying to get Swift key, holla at me..............Ill hook ya up

you have a year long manufacturer warranty. go to the store and exercise it.

as long as your phone doesnt show signs of physical abuse (scratches, screen cracks, dents, etc) .... your gucci

I have a s3. I've had it for a month now and the battery life is pretty bad. Look at the picture above. I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

During work hours, I barely touch my phone... take a few calls here and there. don't watch video, don't play games, ..nothing heavy. But I only get about 9 ~10 hours max. I put my phone on Power Saving mode, screen on "auto" and I've done my best to save as much battery as possible.

is everyone experiencing the same battery life as I am or is my phone just a lemon?

Weird.. I've had mine off charger since 4 am almost4 hours and in at 94 tthat's sendinga some text and ssurfing Web and a little Facebook.. Pretty light use but 9 hours of no use is pretty bad

got my gf the razr maxx...after seeing it in action over a weekend, i gotta say that thing is a beast. its the usual droid fare, but very close to stock ICS. MAD bloatware tho :x they OD'd. but almost all u can uninstall or disable. still annoying tho.

that battery tho :wow: :smh: :x idk why this isn't on every phone. typical usage leaves you with 90% at the end of the day. sometimes i lowkey want the phone over the nexus...jellybean is fast as hell tho.

As much as I hate Motorola phones, you CANNOT hate the battery lives on their Droids, it's disgusting how long they last. :x :smh:

The Razr Maxx battery has been the biggest technological advancement in smartphones since the iphone released. Every phone should have that battery life and that thin profile.
