Thanks Nawz...My auto brightness has always been on. I got a 4300mAh battery so that's probably why but I haven't been using my phone and it still drains quickly. I unplug it in the morning, drive to school and it's down to 90% when I haven't even turned on the screen. :x...I'll try that NCTwin

Smartphone casemaker SPIGEN has pointed out an unconfirmed launch date of the upcoming Google Nexus 5 smartphone. In fact, the company has made an Amazon listing of a case for the unannounced Nexus smartphone and points October 31 as its release date.

SPIGEN, which makes cases for iOS and Android devices alike, previously leaked a high-resolution photo of the iPhone 5C  in addition to confirming its name.

This also happened in a similar Amazon listing, which leaves us hopeful that the release (or at least announcement) date of the upcoming Nexus smartphone could pan out to be true.

Not to mention the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 render  that the company outed, too.

The Nexus 5, as the smartphone has been dubbed so far,made an appearance  in the Android 4.4 KitKat  promo video made by Google.

Since then, it has gone through a visit at the FCC, hinting it is close to an official status.

The FCC documents reveal the alleged Nexus 5 will feature a 4.96" display, most probably of 1080p resolution. We guess if LG is indeed the next Nexus manufacturer, the specs of the device will be based on LG's G2 - a Snapdragon 800 chipset and a 13MP camera. Rest assured Android 4.4 KitKat will ship with the smartphone as well. We still don't know the details about the new features of this release, so we guess we'll see these announced together with the smartphone.

The HTC One is getting a Max variant to add some phablet flavor to the One portfolio and it seems that someone in China jumped the gun and published the core specs. There's also a new batch of photos of the device.

 
The specs image advertises a 5.9" 1080p screen, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a 1.7GHz processor (likely a Snapdragon 600 judging by the frequency), 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 3,300mAh battery.

The main camera of the One Max is a 4MP UltraPixel camera but it's not clear if it will have optical stabilization or not (so far only the One has it, the One mini and Butterfly S don't) and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. The back camera is accompanied by an LED flash and what is reportedly a fingerprint scanner.

The leaked HTC One Max 4G LTE comes along with dual-SIM connectivity, but this is most likely the Chinese version of the phone (which the image calls HTC 808. The HTC One also has a dual-SIM version for China with a removable back and a microSD card slot. So the international One Max version will likely be single-SIM, it will drop the microSD card and pack more storage.

The pricing for the HTC 8088 / One Max will be set at around $800, according to the rumors, and the device is slated for an October launch.

Somebody talk to me about TouchWiz roms. I'm currently running LiquidSmooth on my Sprint S4 and it's good and all but damn, the AOSP camera sucks (I can't deny it).

I also have found that I don't get as good a signal (Wifi/Cell) on AOSP roms. I got a great signal when I was on stock TouchWiz but it seems to struggle now that it's on the regular stuff.

Any and all thoughts are appreciated, fambs

I can only stomach AOSP Roms for so long. They get about 3 days max from me, then I switch back to TW Roms. It just works.

Battery Life is *** too on AOSP.

Go to XDA and see which TW ROMs are best for your phone. Read the users thoughts on battery life, bugs, etc...

Some of em come with uglt statusbars though :x

A grouping of curious leaks from Google promotional videos and the FCC have people sniffing around for the next Nexus phone, and the latest leaks may give us the best look yet at the unreleased device. Pictures and videos obtained by 9to5Google  show off a "Nexus" phone with very similar characteristics and design to what we've seen previously  pass through the FCC as an LG-D820.

We get a good shot of the back and front, as well as a still of the boot animation — which looks oddly like the Google Play edition animation. The back plate looks to have a soft touch material and is rather blocky with curved top and bottom edges, a large camera pod in the top left and a Nexus logo running vertically along the back. Naturally there is an LG logo at the bottom under a "Not For Sale" etching.

This particular unit naturally looks much more final and finished than the earlier pictures from the FCC, but as we all know things can change drastically during pre-production and prototype stages. 

9to5Google  claims the pictures and video come from a bar employee who took a look at the phone when it was left unattended (yes, really) and had time to snap a few pictures and two brief videos, which you can find below.

Evidence is really building that this device, whatever it may be called, is an upcoming Nexus phone from Google. At this point, however, we're still left waiting for any real information about the phone.

The opening around the camera area is. Hell Apple improved the design by having it take in more light, maybe Google did the same.

Try out tri force ROM its TW. With a lot of customizable options with it.

Im on wolfpack 3.2 ROM for da Note2 best damb ROM ever. I just flashed da new sabre kernel. It came with a new sound app and its supposed to be better than voodoo .

I'm shocked that people want to use TW roms. The camera software and battery life are a little better. But for me it's a difference of running 4.3 vs. 4.1.
