Does anyone know how to tell whether or not an HTC One is a Google Play Edition or not? What would I look for? The beats logo is rubbed off so im scared the carrier logo might be as well.

Well, if it's running stock Android and you don't see any signs of it being rooted, that's an easy way to tell.

Anyone here have a Chromecast?

For Christmas, I got not one, but TWO. Hooked it up last night and am LOVING it. Such a dope thing to have in conjunction with my Nexus 4.

I have one and I love it as well. I need to get one for the bedroom.

There really is no need for a $100+ Apple TV or $100 Roku with a $30 Chromecast out.

technically nothing, but you can just plug it into any tv without having to bring your console around

I did really want a chromecast then I thought about it and realized I probably don't need it even though the price of it is very consumer friendly

the reason I sold my my apple tv is because my google tv was trash when I would want to stream boxing stuff online, and my mac is 09 so air play wasn't supported. I use my google tv for net flix though since its built in and I don't like how the search is setup on my Xbox One. I use the Chromecast strictly for streaming bootleg/ppv events.

Yeah, it definitely doesn't do anything a bunch of other devices can't do, but for $35, seamless HBO GO integration, and the fact I can control it with devices I already have in hand, it's great.

I recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a Roku or gaming console and owns an Android phone/tablet.

I don't understand what people want from the chromecast, it's an excellent solution if you don't have a console, smart TV or a media player. Super easy setup, pretty seamless and plays anything I throw at it. For 30-35 bucks, you can't beat it, love mine.

have you tried browsing through the integrated Netflix app on Smart TVs?

Any apps on Smart TVs for that matter are pretty much laggy and useless.

Really? a buddy of mine has a Vizio and it seems to work pretty well, no complaints from him.

Got a few chromecast for my mom and aunt + uncles, they love not having to watch youtube on such a small screen anymore ...LOL

I have 2. Was going to buy another roku but chromecast was a way better, cheaper option. Plus roku's interface sucks. Also got frustrated in waiting for hbo go to get on ps3.

Some people just didn't know what they were buying. It doesn't pretend to be anything is isn't... it's just a streaming device. I use mine so I can stream hours and hours of Netflix without having to run my PS3. I know it's meant to be used, but I'd rather use the Chromecast for an all-day streaming than having my PS3 on.

Plus it's nice just to have always plugged in.. I'm browsing on my computer, want to watch a new trailer.. just cast it to my TV in a few seconds and easy as that.

what i wanted was to put up pics, videos, music and movies from my gallery to the tv through chromecast.... if it can do that it would have been perfect..

Flashed a 4.3 rom last night and totally forgot about this

http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...e-cdma-service-after-updating-gnex-4-3-a.html

Sprints "4G" is a joke but still. Anyone here using a 4.4 rom? Are they any good in terms of stability?

4.4 Slimkat is my daily driver. BUT I wanna go back to touchwiz for a few days but seems like that ain't happening. Stuck on da Sammy logo or loss of data/service. :smh:
Been on Slimkat for most of the night. It's the most unstable rom I've used, but it's also the fastest. Gonna stick with it for a while.

Got the N5 for Christmas. Enjoying the build of the phone and KitKat, etc.

Either I'm getting alzheimers but when I press the on-screen button next to the home button, it brings up all the apps that are running in the background, but
how do I kill all the apps at once instead of one by one?
