Samsung is gonna RAKE this year. Them improving the build quality of their phones starting with the Note 3 , The most timely in updates, Always being the first to the market with new innovations (USB 3.0 on a phone, flexible displays, QHD panels, etc.), Google putting them in their place in terms of the software , HTC putting the final nail in the coffin with that weak *** HTC one "sequel" , and LG and Sony still not putting a dent in the US market at all. I fully expect the S5 and the Note 4 to be Samsung's most successful phone launches ever.

KingFoam, real talk though I think LG has the ability hardware wise and innovation wise to be top dog...they just don't have the advertising and marketing power of Sammy. Cause anybody who says the G2 wasn't one of the best phones this last year is a dam lie.

At the end of the day nobody stays on top forever in the tech world...so I'm looking forward to the other manufacturers stepping their overall game up.

Why couldn't Sony sell the Z1 Compact in the US

AT&T heads, if you have an HTC One, the 4.4.2 Kitkat update is LIVE. I have it installed already. The T-mobile version went LIVE last night as well.

I've never cared for Samsung, they have poor build quaity, an abundance of useless features and copies Apple to the T in features, anything Apple does, Samsung does it too. It's lazy.

Ill stick with HTC, they are making a strong commitment to there android users, they make high quality - reliable phones, the first with timely firmware updates, and I believe the highest rated Android device of last year too, a couple of links...

1. Engadget
2. BGR
3. Android Central
4. Techradar

Now HTC is not without scrutiny, blinkfeed is a disaster, the ultra pixel camera is all talk for the most part, and they can't seem to turn a profit (kinda made a slight one last quarter finally), but they aren't going anywhere. They are still pumping phones, low end, mid range and obviously high end. They will still bring durable, high end, quality phones to the market. I've stuck with HTC since the Evo 4G, and still staying strong. Only company I would leave HTC for is Apple or MIUI/Meizu, but neither of those 2 are coming to America anytime soon.

NTFam, I am seriously close to making that move from VZW to AT&T.

Where I live and work and in between is all 4G and their 3G/HSPA+ is still better than my cdma network at times. I'm a little over $200 for 2 smartphones and a dumb phone and only 6gb of data. I can get 3 smartphones with 10gb for about 160 before my work discount of about 18% off. Not to mention Bank of America cash back will give me $100 after paying 2 bills on AT&T. My boy at AT&T said they giving $100 credits on new lines ($300 total for me) too so I wouldn't even have a first bill and a partial 2nd as well.

Can make it a little lower too if I grab a N5 beforehand as well that way I'm not on the next program with my line. I go back to my Galaxy Nexus and sell my S4 to cover the N5 deal.

Question is, should I do this now, or hold out a couple months because I know we got some phones about to drop out here.

what phone are you rocking tets? im switching back from the nexus 5 to the note ii...missed the bigger screen too much :smh:

Still on da N2 til Wednesday.

KingFoamNYC. Ill keep track on da Dev community. I see that da G2 haz it on deck now.

Any ROM from ANY VARIANT? :nerd:

Yea the G2 isn't bad Dev support wise... It has the same roms I was rocking with on the N5(Slim, Mahdi, PA, Beanstalk etc)

Only thing I miss is Franco Kernel

Try Furnace kernel. Has a lot of features Franco has and great battery life on the AOSP version and LG stock. Works on both stock G2 Roms and Flex Roms

Yes sir. Only thing you have to do is after you flash a ROM from a variant that's not your device is restore the boot IMG from your stock nandroid backup which is painless in TWRP its only 16MB

Just from personal experience and others that I know I'd NEVER call HTC reliable.

Anybody I know that's ever had an HTC phone, android or windows, says they're crap.

I had a god awful touch pro and evo shift and that experience was more than enough for me to never wanna own another HTC device.

One thing we know about iHeart is he dies for his brands

HTC is his brand for phones.. And Sony for gaming no if ands or buts

I hope AT&T rolls out KitKat to the Note 3 soon. Sprint has already rolled it out to their version...

Went back to the stock g2 rom the last few days :x :x, aosp runs so much smoother its ridiculous, cant wait for a stable kk update for the g2 to fix the current bugs

Went to 2 T-Mobile stores, both said the Nexus supports Wi-Fi calling. Everything I've read said it doesnt, what am I missing bros?

Oh..and T-Mobile service has been really sketchy so far. Idk if it's the phone or what, but its looking like it may be worse than Sprint...

SanDisk just took the wraps off of its new 128GB Ultra microSD card. On sale today for your favorite microSDXC-enabled phone or tablet, the card offers twice the storage of current cards, making it the largest-capacity microSD card on the market. Doubling up the storage space wasn't easy, in fact SanDisk used custom manufacturing to stack 16 memory dies -- each thinner than a human hair -- within each card. It's an impressive engineering feat, but let's be honest, we really only care because it will let us store 24 hours of those HD cat videos that help us make it through the day.

more on that g pro 2

looks good. camera is awesome plus great screen size. i also like that the battery is a monster AND removable

A. Check your coverage map
B. I legit thought it did also turns out it doesn't have wifi calling.

I'm sold on the LG G Pro 2 but that off contract price is going to be through the roof.
