The SSL vulnerability only works on SSL version 1.0. Versions 1.1 and 1.2 are not affected.

IN THEORY A SLL WILL ENCRYPT ALL INFO AS YOU STATED AND THAT IS WHAT I WAS SAYING.

And if your using your home wifi secured cant nobody hack your SSL connection because they would have to be on your home wifi to even think about doing it

You laugh as though 2011 is some far, distant away time and everyone has had the common sense to upgrade their systems. Maybe at Apple (where you work, right? ) but a great deal of companies do not spend the money on upgrading their systems. Don't believe me? Look at the banking industry. This is just one example of legacy systems causing a headache. I promise you, there are servers within different agencies that are running on old software just like those ATMs. And they are implementing broken versions of security implementations. Those old, insecure servers are one way that Guccifer (a hacker) got ahold of all his OC.

Oh, you mean like how someone took Target's system and stole millions of peoples' credit card information by stealing security certifications from a HVAC company?.

Like I said above, while a lot of major players update to the latest versions, not everyone does. Some of the people who don't also have access to those bigger systems. The web is more complex than you going to amazon.com, a SSL handshake, and everything is good to go.

I'm going to stop responding to you now, because you obviously do not understand the complexity of the security protocol that is SSL/TLS, and you certainly have no real understanding of what the corporate computing infrastructure looks like.

Do you even work at Apple, bro? I really have a hard time believing that a company, even one like Apple, would hire a Network Technician who doesn't understand these basic security principles.

Nay. N5 is based off the G2 but with a smaller battery and a worse camera. Only thing I dont like about the G2 are the buttons on the back. If you know how to root it and tkae out all the bloatware then it's just a better version of the N5

Nah. N5 is $350 unlocked for 16GB. I think G2 unlocked is like 500+. If N5 had the G2 battery and camera for $350 it'd the perfect phone(specs/price) imo. Freakin Google

Not equal value. They have very similar internals, but like Benny Hinn said, the G2 is the better phone spec wise.

May just keep the G2,seems to be superior.
Plus I love the battery life.
Working 12hr shifts at work and still having over 50% at the end of the day is cash.

My battery life is super good on my n5 if I got the screen down. That's really the only way I notice I put a significant dent in it. But it def doesn't hold up to my bosses g2 in the battery game. But other than that I like it more. I just like the simpleness of it all. It's my first nexus phone.

MY N5 has really good battery life, I dont keep my backlight super high, maybe at around 20% and I get through work days with no issue, dont touch a charger for like 14 hours most days with 4 hours OST. I'm just super concerned about battery life which is why I started looking at the G2 now.

I tried rootin my G2 like the same night I got it but the toolkit or whatever I tried using didn't work for the Verizon version... I gotta get back on that.

BTW with Juice Defender I got 45 hours off charge last week using the "balanced" settings.

I keep all that on too except I do auto brightness (which is usually max) stream Pandora a 12 hour shift and leave with about 50% left. I don't have the screen on too much just texting and IG. Aint saying the n5 is better just throwing some numbers out for reference.
