Anyone have any case recommendations for the Note 4, looking for something that looks nice and minimal, not about to throw an ugly *** otterbox on it.

What i got

How's the quality on VoIP calls for Android? I was always intrigued by the 30 dollar Tmobile plan but I can sneeze and waste 100 minutes, and I'm no heavy talker lol. How do y'all do it?

Hangouts dialer works sometimes then sometimes it doesn't, I'm not familiar with any other voips but if anyone has suggestions I'm willing to try

I have been on the T-Mobile unlimited data plan for a few months now. I rooted my G3 to circumvent the hotspot cap. It shows you on mobile data, instead of hotspot. I average around 25 gigs of data per month. I haven't ever been throttled.
How? Im rooted. Is it an app?

The HP Stream 7 and 8 look like interesting devices.

Microsoft must have gave HP licenses for Free at that $99 price point.

Well, I had 4 hours and 47 minutes of SOT today on my Nexus 6, it was at 2% when I looked. Half brightness, with about 2-3 bars coverage all day. Did a whole lotta streaming from Pandora and Google Play Music, at least an hour on both. I'm really satisfied with that.

Welp, my cracked N5 screen has nonresponsive black dots about 1/3 of the way down from the top and that entire portion of the screen is now unresponsive :frown: :frown:

Now I have to get my screen fixed

not with this holiday season being right now and I haven't gotten all the presents I need to. Just gon buy a new screen off amazon and have one of my coworkers fix it. prob cost total $90 instead of going to a business and they charge me $150

Sorry to hear that man. I have an old blackberry 9900 that I use as a backup in case something happens to the N5. Wouldn't even be worth $90 to fix it, but if money is tight its a reasonable solution

Theres also the Moto G which is a great phone. I went with that last time I broke my phone then just gave it to a family member when I had the money to upgrade.

moto g still $200, rather pay $90 to get my N5 fixed. If I was gon spend more than $100 I'd just buy a new 5

I had an iphone5 as my back up but that screen was also cracked and it conked out on me months ago. In the past 4-5 months I've broken my iphone screen, my N5 screen and my HDX screen. Before this year I've never  broken a screen. I don't know what happened to me  :sobsuncontrollably

a bad year for me and phones, be the last time i don't strap my phones from now on. already looking for a case for my n5 now

I got my girl a nexus 7 or an iPad mini 2 (2nd hand) for Christmas.  I was gonna wrap em both up and have her pick, but she was about to buy one online for med school, so i was like F it, i'll give the gift now.

Gave my girl the nexus 7 and she loved it, i preloaded all her school apps and apps she uses.  Shes on that HTC One so I figured she'd want the Google OS.  So I open up the iPad, and i hate this thing.  I can't stand how its basically an app drawer.  I wanted it to read books and comics, but to upload anything onto the device you gotta plug in to iTunes.  I just wanna download some epubs and cbzs, but this thing making it difficult.  So i'm giving this back to dude I bought it from and gonna try and just scoop up a Nexus 7 or 9.

I've heard several times for phones Android > iPhone, but when it comes to tablets iPads > Android, i'm sure thats the case for these $40 android tablets.  i can't speak for the other higher end androids, this nexus 7 ***** all over the iPad.  From screen, OS, speakers, etc.

TLDR: iPads are overrated.

I got my girl an iPad mini 2 and low key I'm jealous. Joint is nice. I think I like the aspect ratio of it compared to the nexus 7, that's why I'm bummed the reviews for the nexus 9 are so subpar

I have no tablet

I don't understand how people rock their phones naked. Like, do you realize that if you drop it good once it could be a wrap? And how FAST that can happen? dayum :smh:

Oh yeah and iphone 6/6+ vs high end Android is a good debate but iPad has the tablet section on lock. Like, IMO it isn't even close

ain't nothing like the feel of a bare phone in ya hands....like butta

watching em fall you see your entire life with that phone, you remember pulling it out the box, peeling the screen protector off of it and it was so shiny. then ya heart stop and you shut ya eyes tight when you hear that crack when it hits the ground......it's like a movie man

ipad vs android tablets?

eh, it's such a long list of comparable android tablets there's no clear cut winner. Apple is nice all around but does have it's faults while there are several android tablets that can compete with it in certain areas but fall short in others (a common fault is battery life). With tablets it really comes down to which characteristics of a tablet are most importat to you. Well rounded (Apple) or screen density, size, external memory etc
