[COLOR=#red]LOL!! There needs to be a new category of Stan...the "pure" "vanilla" "stock" android stans. Dudes caping for Vaniila like they getting paid by Google directly.

Let's call it for what it is, overated, over-hyped, and over stanned. When in reality it's a pretty decent alternative but that's it. Ok so it gets updates faster, definitely a strong point but not the end all be all that makes it superior.

Dudes have admitted in here that going Vanilla made them lose a few features that they appreciated on their skinned phones...and a lot of dudes constantly swith back and forth.

Then dudes talk so much crap about skinned phones yet buy them anyway. I'm still not convinced dudes made their own mind up about this. It's like once the tech blogs (not true tech journalism btw...just a bunch of extremely biased hipsters), started talking about pure vanilla then everybody started repeating their sentiments.

The reality is the Nexus line will never be truly dominant in the Android world, even if it's distribution wasn't limited...and that's because they are not superior devices. You'll always be left wanting more...and that's why dudes stay switching from them.

anyone knows this tho. they don't even market the nexus line. samsung is the number one android phone and the market as such. my last 4 android phones are stock android, thats how i've rolled, and personally i've been consistent about my feels.

note 4 is a great phone, and the battery life is amazing. i think i can enjoy my phone more with 5.1.1 rom tho.

If I still had it, I'd just sell this S6 outright.
Hoping for an updated N5 this year from LG.

I'm just messing with you, that's a massive downgrade in every area but software .

I dont mind touchwiz though, I liked it on my note 2. Multi window is clutch.

I mean they have the microphone arrays to do it...heck the microphones are so advanced that on the voice recorder you can isolate sound playback via direction. I don't knownwhy they left the speakerphone so half baked.[/COLOR]

Textra for me helps out a lot. I don't receive 100% of them but I get them more than the regular messenger

I think vanilla android just allows you to put your own twist and flavor on your phone...

I think you're missing the point of vanilla Android.  The purpose is similar to windows, where there are multiple flavors.. dell with their crapware.. Samsung w/theirs.. HP etc etc.  Pure vanilla is just plain ol bone stock. So you can do with it as you please.  Its a choose your own adventure phone, rather than being force-fed garbage that not everyone needs.  On every Windows PC that ive ever owned, ive always re-imaged Windows with plain ol stock Windows straight from MS.  For me, it increases the usability, and decreases the number of avenues for PC slowdown.  Ive gotten those around me in the habit as well.  For some.. its simply a better experience.  Thats really the point of it all.

Again. Thats not the point. The point is that its out-of-the-box, an undoubtedly cleaner setup than offerings by Samsung and others.  Its almost Apple-like. Just clean and simple. Youre confusing custom roms, with Vanilla android.

I went from a H.S. dropout to graduating college with a 3.9 GPA because I challenged myself to be better. Y'all mistake me challenging peeps to make the most of themselves with me being boasting and that's erroneous. I merely mentioned the car as a way of saying the hard work is rewarding, which is a great feeling. Putting in the work to be successful requires a sacrifice of sorts and with few exceptions putting a lot of time into things that aren't going to advance you in life for instance like wasting time playing on your smartphones all day is counter-productive.
