so i got 2hrs 45 OST with CM 12.1.

however i awoke to my phone being dead this morning but it was 100% 2 days ago.

im not sure how much significance i should put upon SOT :nerd: but almost 2 days of battery is fantastic in my book.

Well SOT isn't 100% the most important thing to me. I can get nearly 5 hours of SoT with my Moto X if I do nothing but browse reddit in AMOLED mode, use Niketalk, and some messaging and a little gaming, all on WIFI... and have the battery last exactly 5 hours

. But in the real world, using my phone on some mobile data, out and about, over the course of an entire day, I might only end up having 3 hours of SoT but it's been off the charger for a full day and change.

So it's all relative to me.

Hahaha wow. What's the use of all the ROMing and Flashing and what not just to have horrible battery life. Too much work for even less results. But hey that's just me I guess.

You can root and rom for a faster stock tw rom with better battery and debloated too tho.

And it isn't much work at all

Speaking of battery life , just installed my 4500mah battery I copped from eBay a couple weeks ago after I let it get a full charge and I'm almost a hour of SOT and my phone only dropped 10%. Gonna let it sit off the charger over night and see how long it takes me to hit 0%. For a $13 battery not even gonna front like I'm not already impressed.

Godly battery life u go goin there so far

For someone who calls himself a "tech-head," how do you call flashing a rom "too much work"? Sure, there's a learning curve, but once you understand the basic concepts and set the foundations needed, it takes one download and a few minutes to update a rom. Maybe 20 minutes if you're doing a clean flash.

Even clean flashes are like 5 minute ordeals. Smh at dude saying flashing custom firmware reduces performance. Obviously has never tried using a different kernel or a minimal rom.

ya and its a breeze on windows. for mac its strictly command lines with nexus. for all other phones...idk, i think you can't root and rom a note 4 with a mac. tried jodin3 but **** wouldnt' work. had to go windows and it was mad easy. with nexus, there is the wugfresh toolkit.

Yea the actual wiping and clean flashing part takes 5 minutes. I was referring to that, the re-downloading of apps and restoring data via Titanium Backup that takes 20 minutes.

Regardless, it's not much work at all.

Speaking of ROMS, thinking of throwing one onto my stock N5. Trying to improve upon this 2 hr SOT

Would try to find out the cause of your battery drain before anything else.

Sometimes the fix is easier than one might think.

I get 5 Hours SOT on my Note 4 with Arcadia Rom and the stock Kernel, and this is with no Wifi for 90% of the day. Back when I first got it I was getting 6 but now BBM is always running in the background and I'm sure thats whats causing the extra drain. But 5 hours on 4G is great to me coming from the Nexus line.
