Gonna update to Windows 10 as soon as I get home from work
For Macs, it seems like there's always hoops to jump through for simple tasks. Don't think I could ever make the switch even though it's so pretty to look at and it generally runs buttery smooth. That, and I'm gonna build a desktop once Intel's Skylake and Nvidia's Pascal is out. Future-proof machine

Never had a probably rooting on my MBP, but I've only had Nexus devices.

itll be a bit before i can get my hands on w10, but from what i read its what microsoft should've put out with windows 8...which is classic microsoft.
as with all operating systems, i expect bugs and user experience to improve over time with continued feedback, patches, service packs, etc. i def look forward to getting back into the windows game.
as for phones..
that moto x is flames. def want to cop. its the back that gets me personally, i honestly dislike the 2014 moto x style..which is on nexus 6 as well.
im not a huge make or break guy when it comes to phone cameras. they may not be DSLR quality or w.e, but they are good enough for me (if i want serious photos, id grab a canon or something).
love the styling all around, minimal bezels...only issue would be deciding on a design. but then again, it remains to be seen what google puts out this year...

People complain a lot about Windows 8, but really it's only ever about the UI. That's easily fixed with Classic Shell. Need that UEFI fast boot. Power button to log-in screen in like 6 seconds

Had mine about a week, it is great but sometimes I do get app crashes. Like it better than my Note 4 though for the size so going to roll with it for the time being.

First impressions with Windows 10: meh.

Got tired of waiting. Went and download the media creation tool which allows you to upgrade without actually having to make a DVD/USB

You'll have to download all 6GB or whatever it is, so it'll take a while.

I got my G4 about 2 weeks ago. Loving it thus far. Earlier on I had an issue with only having about 2hrs screen on time, but disabling some bloatware, revoking some app permissions and messing with location services has me with a 3:40 SoT according to GSAM. I've seen other users elsewhere reporting 5+ hours of SoT. I'm not too sure how they got there, but I suppose it's very possible. I typically use my phone for web browsing and other social media during my 3 hour lecture so I'm not sure if that drains battery faster than sporadic use throughout the day.
My extra battery/charging cradle came in over the weekend so I'm not even worried about battery life anymore though. I also really like the feel of the free leather back. The colors are funky, but I like the feel. So far everything is running smooth as silk for me.
