Does rooting your phone and flashing Roms affect the radios and basebands at all? I just had my note 4 replaced cause I wasn't getting service at work and I don't want to do anything to really mess with whatever those things are doing until Monday when u get to check it at work but at the same time I can't deal with this giant Dpi stock nonsense.

Rooting itself doesn't do anything to the radio.

If you flash a different radio it will.

I don't think roms come with radio/baseband files ...

I remember I had to flash my radio when I was on Sprint and I had the nexus s 4G. Maybe it's a carrier thing?

S6 is great so far, though i unplugged it at around 7 this evening it was at 100, it's 11 right now and I'm at 70% and it runs a bit hot.

Dang, and how long was the screen on during this time?

As far as wallpaper, I try to use pictures I've taken lol

What I'm currently rocking with:

[COLOR=#red]So many dudes in here despise Samsungs, yet they get them anyway, then get mad after Samsung has gotten their money, then post rants

Guess that's like the guy who wifes a stripper, now he mad at the world when he finds out what he already knew...she's not a wife type.

Samsung ALWAYS had bloatware, and Touchjizz, and gimmicky features...but the hype got ya, don't be mad, it is what it is fellas. It's not Sammy's fault, it's yours. You knew what you were getting into.

We do it because Samsungs have strengths and we would assume a billion dollar company would eventually fix its weaknesses when frankly that's the only issue and other oems don't have it

I'm still trying to figure how the Note series of phones can be amazing and a software update can turn it to ****

I have had my Galaxy S4 and it has been great. Maybe I got lucky but after I did a factory reset, the battery life after the lollipop update improved. I haven't been impressed with what I've seen from the S6 so I think I will stick with what I have.

I don't have none of the issues you guys have with your Note 4's. Definitely don't have that severe lag that you guys speak of and poor battery life. My girls S6 is slightly faster but it's not game changing fast and she's extremely jealous of my battery life which I'm pulling at least 5 hours of SOT everyday. Maybe it's because I'm running a kick *** stable ROM that I haven't switched in like a month.

Only Note 4 issues I can relate to are the recent apps delay (don't want to say like I'm caping at all, but this is as first world as first world issues get ), and inconsistent battery. Some days are great (5+ OST) and others are meh (

Exactly. I knew I shoulda snagged the M9 this go around. The m8 was as close to flawless as they come. If they really did fix the cam Im def grabbing next years.. I don't need this extra inch as much as I thought I did.. pause

What rom are you running?

This is my first Samsung, I've been a stock android guy until this. Will go back to stock after this. Stock>>>>

When I had the S5 it was on AT&T and It was the worst Android experience.

AT&T never plays nice with Android.  T-Mobile >>>>

And I like Touchwiz on the S6, way less intrusive than previous versions.  Just need to fix this battery problem.

So what makes stock Android so much better? I'm getting that itch for a new phone but I want to wait for the 2015 nexus. I'm not sure if I can do a smaller screen after owning the note.

pros: optimized software, no bloat, simplicity emphasized, easiest to customize (easy to root and change roms, etc.), first to get updates

cons: lacks some features (aka gimmicks), tough if you're nostalgic or old-fashioned ("i miss ICS! if only i had went with samsung i would still be running it")

ultimately i just want my OS/interface to be as simple and unobtrusive as possible. and I want apps to run well.

Only thing bad about stock Android is the camera

The g3 I used to have took crisp pics

My note 4 takes od crispy pics

If the nexus 6 had a dope cam id have it. Only bad thing

Moto X style looking like my future phone Fa sho...

That 1+2 did feel great in hand yesterday when I went to the presentation though, very solid build. Metal felt great.

It'll come down to either new moto X or 1+2..
