Nexus devices will have 2 year warranties available to them for $69. I'd suggest anyone here getting the new Nexus phones do it. Both my Galaxy Nexus and N5 both **** the bed around the 18 month mark

They really glossed over the 5X

I think it's time for Google to make an OS that doesn't rely heavily on internet access. Sure Ubuntu and Linux are coo but your average user won't touch em.

If they open up the system to run regular android apps it'd be killer. IDK why it's not already possible

I really wanted the 5X but for $70 more look at the differences:

  • FHD vs WQHD
  • Gorilla Glass 3 vs 4
  • Front camera 5MP vs 8MP (+HD video)
  • Snapdragon 808 vs 810
  • 2GB RAM vs 3GB
  • Single front-facing speaker vs stereo
  • 2700mAh vs 3450
  • No LED notification vs Yes LED notification

Now compare it to the Moto X Pure 32gb, I'm too lazy to do it.

was considering the g4 prior to the release of the new nexus phones. was browsing swappa and had 16 listings for tmo on friday. half of the listings sold on saturday and the remaining phones are back up to $400 or so save one mediocre listing at $360. :smh:

hopefully I'll see an influx of new phones after the announcement tomorrow.

still undecided about which phone to get but my nexus 4 is on it's last legs with random restarts and signal going in and out.

I have a G4 I am looking to get rid of :nerd:

Pretty much, then its only $60 between an extra 32GBs on the 6P

That $70 accounted for the storage ($429 vs 499).

I'm good

But there's no gyroscope and fingerprint sensor in the Moto X off the top of my head. Also the openness of a Nexus device I value a LOT.
