I enjoy the excitement of seeing my page monitor go off that something new is on ua.com. And going into Brand Houses and seeing things that aren't sold anywhere else. May just be me though haha. 

A lot of good points above.  I would pay a bit more for UA product, but hope it doesn't get quite to what we see from Nike, JB, etc.  

I don't buy a lot of sports apparel and tend to get a ton of use out of my stuff until it needs replacing, but I recently picked up some Micro Solid Shorts from the site.  Maybe I just haven't bought any athletic shorts in a while  but these are just perfect.  Lightweight, simple and clean look.  Love em.

Well I hope UA keeps it where it is now as well, but the trend to me is a little disturbing.

I haven't even thought about getting a Lebron since the IV/V and to be fair, it's mostly because I find them a bit heavy and bulky for my style, but the price also keeps me away.  Kobes are up there now as well.  Remember Kobe V's and VI's retailed for $130 and they even went to outlets for far less.  Now the IX EM's are $160 and if the VIII's are any comparison, they won't last nearly as long as the V or VI.

The KD V/VI Elite and VII are all $150+.  Remember when KD said he wanted his shoes to be affordable?  I want the VII's, but not when I think about how the III's retailed for almost half of that.  I understand inflation and all the additional tech. involved.  My position is they can charge more and I just won't buy them.  Especially not when there are cheaper alternatives that kick ***. 

Adidas is doing something similar with the Rose line.  $160 for the Rose 5 if I'm not mistaken.  The Supernatural Creator, probably my favorite out of the Rose line, retailed for like $100. 

UA made that huge bid for KD and I can't help but think of the missed opportunity there.  I think they would have made something special, but the price point was sure to depart from the Clutchfit Drive/Spawn level.  They will end up getting more marquee stars at some point.  Who knows where they will go, but I think it's amazing how far they've come from being simply clothing oriented.  They clearly have some very competent people there and they are doing the right thing with SC by releasing his special editions and giving him a signature shoe (hurry up!).

the Nike KD/LeBron/Kobe signature lines will continue to climb in price. someone (the consumers) has to pay their contracts. i'm sure UA will be no different. the more marquee stars UA signs, the higher the shoe prices will go. unfortunately, every company that tries to make affordable sneakers (Starbury, Protege) don't make it. people want to spend lots of money on sneakers & Nike knows it. when the Air Jordan I first came out, they couldn't give them away (rumours that they caused stress fractures.) I remember Filene's Basement had tables full of them priced at $5 a pair (which was the equivalent of a couple hours pay.)  the only way I've found to beat their system is to wait and get last year's models when they finally show up at places like Marshalls.

here's hoping UA keeps their prices "reasonable"

I imagine they were player editions for the elite travel team circuit. Last event was in July I think so if they were released, we'd have seen them already. Hopefully some pop up on ebay or something 'cause I'd love a pair too haha.

There's a pair half size smaller than my normal size for sale on my craigslist.  So tempted to pick it up, only worn once and price is cheap.  Seller said he got it from part of his AAU sponsored team.  But my normal size is pretty much perfect for me, I think going half down might be too tight.  Plus I'm set on picking up a pair of CF drive lows.

Yea, there was a size 15 on eBay a little while ago for about 100. Too big for me though.

I guess you'd have to define "top line of nike low top ball shoes".  Maybe Kobe 8/9?

Here's a quick example.  If I had to pick a shoe for one all out, league championship game, and I could choose any shoe, brand new out of the box, I might go with a different shoe.  But I'd be just as confident and happy with the Spawn lows.

But if I had to pick a shoe to play 2-3 hour sessions in, which is what I normally do and what most people on NT probably do, then the Spawns are either #1 or #2 on the list, and I have Kobe V's and VIII's on the shelf.  Especially when I consider how my feet will feel after all of the games, it's hard not to take the Spawns.  I put their cushioning system ahead of lunarlon in terms of responsiveness and durability.

They aren't quite as slim and minimalistic as a Kobe 8, but that can be both good and bad depending on preference.

was at the Kittery ME UA outlet yesterday. no basketball sneakers only running shoes & cleats. 

I sent an email to Underarmour customer service regarding the clutchfit drive low's and when they will be restocked on the website, here is the reply.........

"The Clutchfit Drive Low Basketball Shoe is currently out of stock, but we do have an expected date for replenishment of 1/13 in the US. We DO NOT have definite plans to release them in Australia or in other colorways.  Our website is tied into our active and live inventory; therefore once as it becomes available it will be reflected on the website."

Damm that's a big wait and for me in Australia real tough as I'd have to hope they come up on eastbay or ebay. Might have to stick to the mid's.

I assume they're saying other colors of the Drive Lows will be available then. Seems too far away to "restock" the Elite24 Drive Lows. Still in some stores here. No idea how much shipping is to there, but id your dying for them let me know.

Appreciate the offer for elite 24's, but it's ok that's 2 much trouble for you. i'll just get the electric blue mid's for now. That will keep me happy until Jan

just wondering if the response Watto84 got from UA only meant what they would be releasing on their site. Not all UA sneakers get released on UA.com. { last week i tried on a size 14.5 Torch in a store and the UA site doesnt list 14.5 as an option.  Eastbay now has low Spawn in steel color that i dont ever remember seeing them on the UA site.}  i find it hard to believe UA would not come out with more colors for the Drive Lows. i'll keep looking for the Drive lows on Eastbay, Footlocker, etc.

not sure the customer service at any of these sneaker companies are kept in the loop for what' in the pipeline. when i've dealt with other sneaker companies customer service about upcoming releases they've sent me to sneakernews, sole collector, etc. 

Yep agree again...UA website vs footlocker/eastbay etc is rarely the same and have also seen footlocker/eastbay with different colours and variety's of high/low. It's definitely 1 of the frustrating parts of the underarmour supply chain, where I can never get a great handle on whats coming out and where it will be available in advance. Harder for me in Australia as well as we are limited to where we get stuff from online.

Was at HOH Valley fair yesterday and there was the blue pair of the Curry USA Clutchfits size 9.5 returned if anyone is still looking.
