going by that price tag, i'm going to assume you're talking about a good website layout/design? because custom website designs go for around that, although i'm sure you can find some in the $3,000-$5,000 range.

just make sure the company you go with has a good CMS and you should be good.

it all depends on what you need. if they're designing and setting everything up for you, thats a pretty standard starting cost.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but just some questions for those who've been in the ecommerce game for awhile. I feel like starting my own online business and I'm just seeking some advice.

 

How did you arrive at the decision on what product(s) you were going to sell?

What sort of things should I consider before going forth on this journey?

 

Any other general advice you can give me?
