\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Quick question for yall. for example when you guys buy a car (new or used) and yall decide to spend money on modifications and fixing stuff up. Do yall do this with the sole intention of being able to get what you invested in it back or do yall see ya selves staying with the car till the end?

you'd be lucky to get even half of the value for the mods when selling it...if anything at all

2012 Volkswagen CC 2.0 Turbo Sport
DSG transmission
APR Stage 1 tune
APR Carbonaro air intake
249HP 265 Torque

I put on 20% tint...sun was shining down on my car but the windows are really dark....practically cant see through them at all with the black interior, Vinyl on the roof, tinted the tails, Vinyl on the bumper also, like the way it looks.
Thinking about what wheels to get, tired of the stock 17's...thinking about throwing on GTI wheels.

Going to tint the windshield next week probably....and ordering vanity plate "CANTCCME"

Had this car for 2 years now and love it. :smokin

Make sure the turbos were replaced especially for an early model

I doubt anybody will be selling a car with replaced turbos, especially 07-09, and if they are it will reflect in the price.

Turbos engines die after an extended period of time and you might as well swap it yourself when the time comes.

But for BMW I suggest warranty!!! Very Very Very expensive toys to own.

Looking to get a 07-09 335i coupe. Anything I need to watch out for?

I was just about to mention this. I personally wouldn't buy a used turbo car because that's just one more thing to go wrong. Turbos usually don't last as long as engines do. BMW has some great lease rates on the 2013's.

I've owned a used car with a turbo before and my moms Volvo has one also with no problems so I don't think it's an issue.

I will get a warranty for sure.

I have owned the 335i and if you are buying used I would def advise a warranty. Don't even play around and not get one. If the HPFP does no get you, turbo lag issues will get you. If you live somewhere cold early morning start ups can be an issue. Be most aware of your car losing power while you drive; it will comeback but its just annoying because you will only be able to drive like 25mph. So in all get a warranty

I don't think so. It took 5 seconds for a google search and I see somebody needing a new turbo at 18K miles.

That is very rare for the turbo to be shot at such low milage. But remember these are cars...there are lemons....plus at that milage car still has full warranty.

A lot of my friends have had the 335....some modded and tuned some of them just kept em stock and nobody had any major issues. Except my friend mike , his 07 just left the shop with a 12k engine bill...but his car was tuned to maximum output and he would a use it and take it to the track

You don't think what? It's a good idea? Those are just 2 examples off a forum, I could do that with every car ever made, esp performance cars. Those are uncontrollable things that could happen to anyone, wether you baby your car or redline every gear each day.

I've drove a lot of different cars but no BMW so I'll give them a try and hopefully won't have any problems. I appreciate your help doe.

Thank you, I had a friend that had one too and had no issues. Theres nothing wrong with buying a used car with a turbo. Just do your homework first and make sure it wasn't drove to death or cheaply modded.

Do it man! BMW's are amazing...they don't call it the ultimate driving machine for no reason. Get it and be happy with it!

Just get a warranty to cover yourself just in case, it never hurts!

Happy modding!

Damn this looks nice. I'd take this over some BMWs tbh.

Wasn't aware the CC looked this good.
