No cut..i had to get adjustable struts in the back..have it raised about 2 inches

Before that when i left the shop and got on the highway i was like whats that burnin smell and smoke comin from....took it right back to the shop because the strut plate had literally cut right thru the brand new tire all the way to the rim..the shop owner was like what the fff

My boy put 6s on the 07 ss lol. I had a 2000 ss I was scared to go 4s so I stuck it out with the 22s n it was cool.

Dont do it..i bought 24's for my 07 Monte SS and although it looks good as hell i wish i woulda saved the money and kept it stock..especially with ur Chally..nuthin wrong with those stock wheels..if ur bored with the stock chrome buy some Plasti-Dip and go black

Yup this is the way I'm leaning. The only wheel set up I've ever seen that I like more than the stock are the machine face/black vipers and a black wheel with a chrome lip.

I got 22's now..its soooo much smoother..im able with the lift to have a 30 series tire also..those p-zeros were

Felt every crack in the road

Props to being able to afford the AMG, but the CL is quite possibly the 2nd worst looking new model in the MB lineup behind the SL.

Looking to step up to a W212 E or F10 5 within the year though.

Can't be serious..
The CL is fire.

I want to get my car lowered, but was wondering whats the best way to do this?

I seent the springs, coil overs, and someone mentioned cutting the current spring which im not sure about.

Does lowering the car make the ride feel different or will it stay the same?

My other thing is, I want to buy new wheels, Its a 2008 Chevy Impala SS.

Should I go 20" or 22" and will 22's rub once its lowered?

Thanks in advance.

Heres some pics of the car....

Springs are a lot cheaper, but with coilovers you can adjust your ride height which would be useful in the winter. If you live somewhere that snows you probably would want to raise your car back up for the extra clearance.

That monte is nice, usually don't like the new modeled versions but that's clean IMO.:smokin

Thanks man I appreciate it.... 5.3 FTW, I love my small block.

Im actually going to the tint shop this weekend to get the fronts re-done....

Got pulled over and had to remove the tint, along with having no front plate.

I zipped tied the plate to the lower grill and brought in for the inspection, Removed it right after...

Also might go lighter on the tint this time. Had that 2% on there and it sucked when driving at night.

Thx bros..repped back

And 2% tint? wth

yea man I might do 15 to 20% this time....

Im keeping the back at 2% since i have the Monitors on the headrest and it keeps the sun from reflecting on the screens.

I have a feeling the gas mileage is due to having a 4 speed auto transmission. The Chargers look like they have a 5 speed auto

Im in Woodland Hills Ca and there is a shop out here that I been going to for a few years called Solar Eclipse. If you are familiar with the area its on Victory and De Soto. I did the entire car there for 160 and its lifetime warranty.

Springs = The economical choice

Coilovers = Versatility (You can adjust ride height)

And to answer that other question you asked about ride quality. The lower you go, the more you will feel the bumps in the road.

The ride quality will horrendous with springs. You would be better off with just getting coil overs from the start.

If you go with springs, aesthetic-wise your look will look lower but you're putting extra weight that wasn't intended on your factory struts.

Any one got a evo 06? If so how you like it
Like the one dude said try to get one as close to stock as possible even if that means going up in miles or price. Some of these dudes don't know what they're talking about and more than likely haven't even driven a car like that, if you know what your doing you can find one thats not been beat to death. Before you buy it, any legit deal/person will let you take it to a mechanic and have them check it out, just make sure you take it to someone who knows these types of cars.
