in this pic all the panels match, because he waxed it

in the above pics some were waxed and some werent

with matte vinyl colors will be darker/lighter when waxed

but at the same time i might just do wheels and drop depending on price of work......i only plan to drive this car for 2 years..........then a3 sedan in 2015

Dope. Im thinking of doing vinyl on my joint

No way I'm attempting vinyl on my own. I don't even wrap Xmas gifts. I just bag em. I'll see what's up. His og color is same as mine also. Reflex silver mettalic. Same car same year basically. I gotta see this thing in person asap.

arent jettas slow tho?

Yes Idc about speed right now. I commute to much at this point in life. I wanted a car with regular gas. I was looking at accord coupes and jettas. Best looking cars imo that need reg gas. Wheels and drop on either n good to go.

if thats ur concern why didnt u get the tdi? im curious because my uncle had a tdi and put 170k miles on the diesel in 3-4 years and said that it was flawless and he got around 40 mpg with normal maintenance.

I would never lower a car. What the hell do you do when it snows or when you hit a speed bump or pothole? Just impractical

Its not as serious as you make it sound though, unless it snows A LOT you should be fine. If its that much snow, you shoudnt be driving a car like that anyways, thats SUV time. Pothole? Avoid it, there arent potholes EVERYWHERE like some people make it seem like. I live in NYC, when I had a lowered car, id move my steering wheel 2 inches and avoid it. Speed bumps arent made to destroy lowered cars, its meant to slow you down. So slow down.

I dont know about SLAMMED cars though, they look nice but THOSE are impractical.

nah but lets be real for a min. there are a lot of areas in nyc where a lowered ride is not a good look. and you can't avoid every pothole, esp at highway speeds. control arms, and tire sidewalls, and rims will be hurtin.

try driving a low ride on the FDR, college point blvd/whitestone, brooklyn queens exp, new england thruway/i95 north of the bronx. i personally haven't lowered my wrx because i drive it to northern new england in the summer for lakes and winter for boarding. car already has stiff suspension, so im good.

Didn't get diesel because of the higher maintenance and issues living in new England when it gets cold.........not worth the extra cost. I went with the 2.5 dead reliable engine before the switch for 2014. Also I couldn't do tdi......when it's same cost as gli. Like I said didn't want premium. This car is good for now. An I love the style an subtle mods make it real clean to me. Long as I can do 80mph hwy I'm good. Speed will come later in life.

I agree with Monday. Ppl make it seem like NYC is that bad......I go to NYC often an see lowered cars all day.

Got this a week ago 2012 FJ cruiser. Just want to throw some tints on it, possibly a grill guard in the future

Monday is into the stance nation scene. I think it suits euros more than American.

lol what?

either way stance mostly looks best on japanese cars/JDM scene

im not even a fan of american cars but i agree with ninja american cars dont look right with the dumped/stretched/hella flush stance

drop it a little to lose wheel gap and throw some rims w/meaty tires on

then again i think poke and camber is ugly as hell in general

Go ask those owners about how it rides.

And they will all tell you the same thing...... it rides like *****.

There's no way I will lower my Jeep because I live and drive in Manhattan. I will need a front bumper replacement within a week. :x

Its not hard at all. You just need patience and a slow hand. A heat gun is a must for corners
