\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

And that same Challenger would be walked on by a kid who spent $10k on a K20 powered Civic hatch.
But at the end of the day, that dude still has a Toyota with serious money invested under the hood trying to compare to the Lamborghini. All while fighting tears of jealously.

There's plenty more to cars than modifying your cheap(er) car to go fast. If that was the case, we'd all be rolling around in fox body mustangs.

Post some pics of the stable

Shut down this thread

Posted my car a while back. Quick comparasion

What kind of wheels are those?

Don't go around beating your chest talking numbers and how one car can out perform another. Because one day a Challenger could walk your favorite whip down the street.

Its all about what you put into your car man.

Dudes got 1000hp Supras that could kill V12 Lambo's...

There's plenty more to cars than what you can read out of the users manual too.

You completely missed the point of my post.

I'm saying, stop bickering and *****ing about what the next man drives and spitting out numbers like they mean anything when you're driving in controlled speed areas.

Who gives a rats *** if one car is lighter and quicker than the heavy car. So what. If that man likes the heavier car, then thats what he likes. What, you want EVERYONE driving the same **** because thats YOUR preference?

Yes, there are more things to cars than just modifyng it to go fast, but... Whats the argument going on in here? Speed is it not? So.... Obviously thats what my point is about...

There's plenty more to cars than price and luxury. A lot of people overcompensate with luxury cars to prove to other people how good they're living.

Then you got hella rich guys like Jay Leno and Lebron who drive AMERICAN MUSCLE... You think they're buying it for the luxury package? No.

Just like I stated before, a mans car says a lot about himself. People buy cars for different reasons.

Your taste is your taste. Just because something is your type, that doesn't make it the RIGHT type for everyone.

And at the end of the day, that guy has a Toyota trying to make it the best car he's ever built/driven/raced. I'm sure he couldn't care less about a Lambo if he's packing 1000hp. The Totyota supra is one of the most iconic Japanese cars ever... Just as iconic in its own right as a Lambo. I doubt he's THAT jealous.

Not everyone cares for the same things as you.

He was speeding. 10mph over the speed limit is usualy the max they let you slide.
Dude was going almost 20 over. Speeding by a cop and him not pulling you over means he wasnt doing radar in most cases.

Hopefully one day you dont have a kid that gets hit cause some A-hole was speeding in a residential area
One of those kinda posters eh?

10 max over the speed limit? where the hell do you guys live?

in michigan your lucky if they give you 5 over as a cushion

OR the fact he was speeding was the reason.

Almost 20 over in a 25 zone, which I'm also gonna assume is residential area.

It's a main street, 2-3 lanes, not some neighborhood so you assumed wrong

I've driven that speed down that road for 5 yrs every day

I'm not making excuses, speeding is speeding but pull EVERYONE over than because no one goes 25

You do realize that you were very close to driving double the speed limit ? Depending on your jurisdiction had you been caught doing a few more MPH you would be guilty of a reckless driving, taken to jail and have your drivers licence revoked. Reckless driving charges are worse than DUIs in terms of the effect on your insurance rates.

Double @ 30+ MPH is attempted an attempted manslaughter in many places. I know someone who got hit with this charge and now he pays nearly 500 a month for insurance on any bucket he owns.
Had to sell his sweet shaker mustang because his rates on that car were quoted going up to almost a grand a month :x :x

I'm not arguing the ticket, ill pay it $112 isn't a big deal to me and it came with no points

It's just funny some people get so butt hurt like I drank 20 beers and went flying down the road and killed someone, who is happy about a ticket? Lol

I was more peeved the cop then started asking me how I like the car, what I paid for it, etc like I wanna sit there and have a convo about after you just handed me a ticket

EVERYONE does 40 or so in this area, it's probably their way to make money for the new fiscal year, I'm sure 50+ people are getting the same ticket I got today

It isn't a thing but some of y'all need to comprehend 42 in a 25 on a 4 lane main road isn't a DUI, endangering kids, etc and get off your self righteous thrones

I swear some NTers can find a way to compare capital murder to stealing a pack of bubble gum

really is this thread about doing 40 in a 25? pay the fine or take driving school and keep it moving.

Q- Were you speeding?
A- Yes

You justifying your actions based on the actions of others just shows your level of maturity.
If everyone else jumps off a cliff...

Why are you even still defending yourself? You're salty cause you got caught. Now cough up the bread so the officer can get his paycheck

Shut up already I have no problem paying the ticket

My initial post was basically sucks I got a ticket and you jumped all over that comparing it to killing kids in the street which is the only reason it took this turn

Now go sit down

I feel where Stillins coming from. In HS I went to driving school and took driving lessons from an ex highway patrol officer with 20+ years experience. He had seen all kinds of accidents mild to severe and he always reinforced that the best way to avoid accidents was to match the pace of traffic and keep 10ft per 10mph distance. This means driving under the speed limit when traffic is flowing slowly (especially relevant in poor weather) and driving over the speed limit when the pace of traffic is moving faster than the posted limit.
Its common sense
Driving faster than the rate of traffic greatly increases the chance of being in a front end collision
Driving slower than the rate of traffic greatly increases the chance of your car being rear ended

Wasn't trying come off as **** with what I said earlier either. Not like I haven't been pulled over for speeding plenty of times. :rolleyes
Just saying a matter of 5 mph can be the difference between keeping your drivers licence and loosing it for a year.

I got a speeding ticket for going 35 in a 25 mph school zone, $400 plus the traffic school fee. Learned my lesson.

got a 48 in a 25 a couple years ago here in va. reckless driving ticket so I had to hire a lawyer and he got it reduced to regular speeding at 9 mph over with driving school classes. my dad has a friend who owns one of those schools though so he got him to fill out the paperwork for me and I was able to avoid sitting in that classroom for 8 hours and then another 4 hour :smokin

Michigan is broke so tickets are a source of revenue.

Ive got 1 moving violation in 10 years of driving in texas and I drive like I stole it.

I used to get pulled over every month in Michigan

Good luck finding a low mileage vr4. Ull have better luck searchin for the fountain of youth. And as said reliability is trash... sexy beasts tho.

Always see a token 3000 GT around da way...

Cool whips, but you'd have to sink some coin

To get everything operable 100%

I actually own 2. The VR-4 is a pain, I'll give you that, but my base has been nothing but reliable. Had the clutch slave cylinder go, but besides regular maintenance, It's been smooth sailing. It's slow, but that's what the VR-4 is for. I plan on it having 500 AWHP by the end of the summer. Just got new paint, dual core front mount intercooler, new, bigger turbos, full fluid change. It just needs injectors, ECU, and fuel pump so I can run E85.

Here's a picture of my car (daily) and some friends at a recent meet.
