A wheel style that is "copied" by another company is almost universally accepted amongst the car community. As mentioned already, there are plenty of good quality companies out there that offer wheels, both original and not, in every price range. Once you start trying to pass them off as original is when people start to take exception.
Take BBS LM's for example. There's tons of replicas out there and most distributors even offer BBS caps and barrel stickers on them. Does the average Joe know that they're replicas? Probably not. To the untrained eye, you cant tell that they're cast 1-piece and don't have proper engravings. Just like most people outside of their respected hobby dont know enough or care about replica shoes, luxury watches, designer goods, etc...

And just some food for thought. There are low quality wheels that the style is replicated off of CCWs, BBS, Work, and so on on which are made like crap using cheap material *cough XXR cough*. But there are also companies out there who replicate the design of the wheel and the quality is there. So before sounding ignorant, do research on something before knocking something. Are they authentic? No, they share a design based off the style of a popular high end wheel. That doesnt always mean that the quality is garbage. Just because it shares the same design doesnt mean its ****.

^ I got you covered when I make it to the crib later on this month . Fake is fake to me no matter what , for some they can make exceptions for me their is no substitution. I'm not going call someone out on the street for having reps on their whip the se way I wouldn't knock some one for wearing knock off shoes or Gucci , but if a convo comes up about said product and we comparing or they trying to stunt with they knockoff they need to be knocked down a peg or 2 back to reality and they situation .

I have on my Jeep a set of gloss black SRT reps from Factory reproductions. I have my OEM forged ones in storage just in case. But I have hit some decent sized potholes here in the city that I didnt see and the rims are in tact not bad for cast rims from china.
I guess its just on borrowed time but so far they have been great.
Always have the OEM wheels as a backup just in case is my advice.

Damn son . I ain't no they was still doing it like that up there , but I always had a garage or designated parking in a lot every time I was up there.
