Actually after the brz vs cayman vs 370z thread I want a cayman s more than ever. Didnt think they weree thattt affordable. Will def be a drivers car of some sort. Always wanted n 05 m3 ..

damn $87 a month on a GTR?



I give my pops $400 a month for my 07 mazda6. I have like 16 points from when i was a dumbass. got into a bunch of fender benders and like 2-3 accidents. Paying for it now :x :x


I tried to put the insurance in my name. It was gonna be like 8k a year :rofl: :rofl: im 21 btw
 
My insurance went down from 173 to 160 a month full coverage with Geico.

They really **** you for living in Manhattan. And the 2 points I have on my license doesnt help either. lol :frown:

Thank god NY doesnt recognize out of state moving violations otherwise I would have like 16-18 points. I have a heavy foot. :frown:

Gonna take years and zero issues to get it below $100

I had cars registered under my name since 17 with zero accidents or points on my record

Only minor traffic violations.

I have no accidents but that stupid 2 point ticket I got. I didnt see the damn sign that said from 7-10am Central Park drive is a HOV only passage. :rolleyes

That was the only moving violation ticket I have ever gotten on my record. :frown: The other moving violations (Speeding tickets) were out of state so it doesnt matter for NY.)

That other moving violation ticket in NY I got it dismissed.

Equipment tickets (tint, front plate), doesnt matter so thats no prob.
 
bout to pull the trigger on a range sport super charged still trying to decide though between a lr4 or a classic range cashing in all my cars and up next is the aston 
 
does credit really play a part in car insurance?

lots say yes, some say no.

i think its the only reason why mine is high, its under my moms name who has bad credit but not tickets or anything.

cant wait til i turn 25, i got good credit and clean record. once i hit 25 they should give me a good price but i doubt it

Yes it does play a part. They want to see your ability to pay and your history of paying.
 
figured i was right, i remember my aunt got into a fight with me over it since she said it was the dumbest thing she ever heard and she was getting mad at me for saying she was wrong ]

just turned 25 and apparently the insurance went down a bit for me. my mom still has me on the family plan so it worked out good for me. almost got my license suspended for too many speeding tickets within a 24 month period. haven't gotten caught since then though. I think all the points should be gone by the end of this year.

maaaaan when you said battery, I was trying to get my car battery tested lol. finally did some research and apparently it is the key battery that's dead. I've got the older key so I can't just change the battery. don't have a spare so I had to order a new battery. only $200 and it should be here by Tuesday. seems kinda stupid to me though that they make it so that the battery can't just be easily replaced in these keys.


anyway, I've ordered a whole set of matte vinyl samples (both gray for the c63 since I didn't like the current shade in the sunlight and blue for this 5 series if I decide to do it). once I decide on a color, i'm going to finally put 100% of all my effort into getting it done. it's been almost a month and a half since the last time I drove that car.


I also just got a front lip that i'm going to get installed this week. gonna get my h&r springs installed at the same time. is it going to be a pita having a front lip AND springs? I didn't think it'd be a problem at all since the drop is only .75 inches, but my boy was telling me i'm going to be scraping all the time if I do both springs and a lip.
 
On the 5 series before 2005 he had the traditional blade key with the diamond shape 3 buttons. It has a battery but with any battery it will die, it is not replaceable (per BMW but you can do some home improvement of yourself but it's hard and most people won't) new key is $200. You don't know how much i hear people complain about this on a daily basis lol
 
Ill be fine with one of these in my midlife crisis. Right now im enjoying my 370z.
