12" width is wide enough, 13" is wide while being sexy still, but only a small handful of super cars can pull that off (Viper)

Its not really a "Vette engine"

I hear people say that all the time and while the LT1 was used in a Corvette, it was also used in Camaros, Firebirds, Caprices, Fleetwoods and Roadmasters as well as the Impala. The iron head version used in the B-bodies was detuned, producing 40 less hp than aluminum head Versions in F-bodies and Corvette's.

I love GM B-bodies, but as much as I hate to admit it; the 94-94 SS is one of the most overrated cars of all time. Much of the cars popularity comes from its frequent use in movies and music videos.

The 94-96 Impala is a nice car, but what some people don't seem to realize is, it's literally nothing but an appearance package on the Caprice. In fact, in most states the "Impala SS" is actually titled as a "Caprice". The only difference mechanically is a slightly lower ride height. The Impala has a slightly... and I stress slightly more aggressive gear ratio than most Caprices, but even the 3.08 or 3.11 (I don't remember which) was available as an option on the Caprice. The 1996 model does have the benefits of a console mounted shifter and analog gauges, which make them more desirable.

Interestingly enough, the v6 W-body Impala SS that everyone seems to hate is actually faster and handles better than the more popular 94-96. Like most people, I still prefer the B-body  ... but don't sleep on those 3800's, they're extremely capable motors.

I had to rep u for this post Dank... Dudes kill me with that "Vette motor" talk.. I hear it so much that now I don't even try and correct them.....

@Grizzlyboy congrats on the Impala bruh...

I think a lot of people use it because unless you're a gearhead, "it has a LT1/LS1/LS2 etc. in it" means nothing to the average Joe. Hell, I'm guilty of doing this when I had my TBSS. Tell people it's got an LS2 and you get a blank look, tell people it's got a Corvette engine and you get the Ohhhhhh reaction .

Dodge has the infamous "da hemi" that is thought of as powerful and fast, regardless of what size and power it's actually pushing. Chevy unfortunately has no such buzz word. Enter "vette motor", Chevy's version of the hemi buzz word

You're both right though :smokin

I don't think I've ever seen a kit that looks better than the original car. Just not my style.

Appreciate the work people put in though

The liberty suits allow for bigger tires tho

They are for performance gains

U cant just put that body kit with stock tires

If u opt for payments I'm assuming u have to pay interest since it's a loan an you'll end up paying more

Also cash is great because I imagine it would give u more leverage and power when buying the car

If you need to build up your credit, I'd say just go for the loan (assuming the interest rate isn't high). My credit score was good, but I got denied a couple places trying to get a loan, because I had never had a long term loan like a car loan before.

I'm going to end up paying around $1800 (about $30 a month) in interest over the 5 years, but at least I'll have that on my credit history for when I need to get a home loan in the future.

Use a car loan calculator once you have your interest rate and figure out if it's worth it to you and you can decide whether you'd rather pay cash or get the loan. You can also put a significant amount down and just finance a smaller portion of it instead of financing the whole $22k and you don't need to finance it for 5 years.

A car loan will definitely help your credit report. Does not matter if you choose 36,60 or 72 months. As long as you pay, you are good. I don't know why people keep saying that cash is king and you get a better deal. It may be true, all depends on what brand you are talking about. With all these competitor agencies like TRUECAR and Edmunds price promise , prices are lower and the negotiation is pretty much done with. There are three different prices:

MSRP
Invoice
INTERNET.

From highest to lowest in that order. The money is in financing, keep in mind that certain incentives and rebates are applied on approved credit. If you are a first time buyer you will have a hard time and in most times require a co signer but even that may not be ideal. You need to build your credit with smaller things first before jumping a big step. For example:

You just met me, would you let me borrow 30k? Even if I promise to pay back?

I have known you for years and have borrowed smaller amounts and always paid you back. Would you have more trust in me?

-UNDFT-

Get the loan and pay it off quick so you don't pay too much interest. That's what I'd do. Also go to a credit union my last loan was like 6% apr. It's nice to have cash to back it up but you can't be all cash everything.

As long as you keep your loan open long enough to pay 75$ interest, you can pay off in full and only pay interest on the amount you loaned for the time you loaned it for. If you want it to look good on your report, let it be on there for 6+months. A lot of cash buyers have no history because they pay off way too early for it to even show. For every 1k down, on a purchase it can be 15-18 off a month on your payment.
