\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

I ended up going with the Limited for the leather and LEDs. I don't think leather is necessary but after I saw the cheaper cotton seats I felt I had to go with the leather seats. As for tint it's Suntek 35% all around and the clear bra is XPEL Ultimate. Crystalline/Ceramic is good but they're more pricey. Luckily my cousin's homie has a shop and he hooked up both for cheaper than he usually charges. If you can afford it, a clear bra of the hood/lights/bumper will prevent rock chips so you won't have to spend as much $ to repaint/repair the front in the future. My daily work commute is ~90 miles (both directions combined) so getting to 1k was easy. What color did you get btw? Dark grey metallic and SWP also look nice. I ended up going with WRB since it's what they had on the lot at the time and I didn't preorder.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into suntek. I picked up a premium in Crystal Black. I saw all other the colors and really liked the Dark Grey Metallic, but the one they had was a limited with the CVT and I just couldn't do it. I could have ordered one in DGM but they were telling me it wouldn't come in till June/July.

dark grey metallic is the probably the best color imo. it shows of the lines of the design the best. i really like the new designs, looks wayyy better in person. can't wait to drive one. ill stick with my 2012 wrx hatch tho lol.

stock wrx wheels on 2015 are :x tho, look worse than low end rotas...

i kind of want that STI tho, but premium wrx is so much bang for the buck...

 Yeah they could be better. I went back to the dealer the other day and they had a white STI with red rims... too clean.

are you guys on nasioc??

that dgm, cwp and ice silver are :smokin i ended up getting the '15 cwp and tinted it 20% all around
i dont care what people say about how it looks..the car is fun as hell to drive
I used to make fun of it too and was set on buying the '14 hatch, but once i test drove the '15 , i changed my mind

One of my friends was talking a lot of mess when I bought mine.. Then he saw it, now he loves it. Like i've said, it's a much better car in person. I joined clubwrx.net and just started lurking on nasioc.

guys ive never bought a car at a dealer before. i usually copped mine on manheim. do i have to qualify for the internet price or thats the price off the bat and i can negotiate from there?

I HATE Ice Silver, such a terrible silver color with that bluish hue. Can never go wrong with the dark grey metallic though but I am partial to white cars. Saw a 15' the other day in crystal white pearl :pimp:

the denial in this threads crazy, a camry and lexus are the same car, they just switch the logos on the assembly line

what? A Camry is a model of car, Lexus is a brand.

There is some overlapping with the ES & Camry and maybe 1 or 2 other models.

Not the CT, not the IS series, not the LS Series, not the GS series, not the SC series, not the LF Series

 not this again

I'm pretty sure hes referring to the ES/Camry discussion from a few pages back.

FYI, the CT is a badge engineered Auris and the GS, LS and SC were all originally developed and branded as Toyotas (Aristo, Celsior and Soarer). At their core, both Lexus is a brand founded on America's desire to badge floss.

they dont come with the front blacked out like that though

if anything they just look like an updated version of the old legacys

LMAO I would never do that, but to each their own.

6MT all the way! Black is nice too but black is usually the hardest color to maintain. Make sure you do the double bucket wash method (youtube for vids) to prevent swirls and such. Never take your car to a car wash for risk of small scratches.

I also test drove the '14 hatch since that's what I considered other than the '15 WRX. The 15 just feels better since the turbo kicks in way earlier and is really torquey in the lower gears. The suspension feels way better than the '14 WRX. Even though the rumble is almost non-existent. I'd rather take EL headers and better hp vs UEL and less hp.

Never go by msrp or dealer price. Tell them you want to see the invoice for the car (it's less than MSRP). They'll try not to show it and get you to pay a markup. The better your credit and your down payment the more leverage you have when financing a car. Best bet is to see what type of car you want and get quotes from 2-3 dealerships with the best reviews. Get quotes from each dealer and let them compete for your business. If you have a credit score >700 you shouldn't have much issues when negotiating. It will be a tug of war game to get the lowest price possible. If you're at a great dealer they rather get your business than try to make you pay extra $$$. Also, don't buy extended warranties unless you need the security. Do your research on prices for that since they mark that up too. I originally got the subaru extended warranty for $1540 (7yr/70k). I found out it only cost $800. I canceled it a few weeks after so the money will now go towards my principal loan. Also, use truecar.com as a pricing reference point to see how much others in your area paid for the same car.

thanks man. my problem now is that i have a credit score below 700. im trying to finance a car thats around 10k and il pay it off in a year or so to boost my credit for the car i want. im seeing 2011 civic lx for like 12k internet price. can i drop it down to 10k since the 2015s are coming out?

A 700+ means nothing if it's not 'good' type of credit like previous auto loans, high credit limits in good standing and length of time you have had accounts. Invoice lol, invoice is whatever.. Internet quotes these days give you a price below invoice. Don't go into a dealership demanding invoice, you going to start off the wrong foot. Get a true car quote and call the lowest places. Make sure you ask if it includes destination and if the vehicles have any pre installed accessories that you may have to purchase once you are there. Also down payment is determined by the bank based on your credit. There's never a specific number but every 1k shaves off around 16-18$ off your monthly.

Msrp. Invoice. Internet. In this order, from marked up to the lowest.

Used cars can't be discounted as heavily as people think. It goes on a case by case basis depending on how much the dealership took it in for and what type of work it needed to be put on the line. You can't expect to get a bigger discount because the 2015 are out. Dealerships aren't that desperate.

Do some comparing to see what other people are charging for the same car. Do a kbb.com estimate yourself to get an idea. It has to make sense for both parties.
