Are Subaru Forester's reliable?

I'm stuck between an SUV or truck.

I'm moving about a 2 minute drive from a lake, trail, etc. and I want something with a decent amount of cargo space that can fit a bike, and/or fishing poles, stuff like that.

I've heard good things about the Forester for AWD, cargo space, and practicality. but the exterior is kinda wack. :frown:

I'd prefer a crossover more than a truck because of gas mileage. I'm definitely not opposed to a BMW X3/X5 but German maintenance :x

i don't know about the newer ones but the older ones have head gasket problems (like most Subarus)

You could get a CR-V if reliability is what you're looking for...

Thanks. What cai would you recommend me? I'm thinking either airaid or k&n. Preferably without a tune. I'll get a tuner later on

K&N is a monster but really it's up to you depending on what performance but to be honest Cai are one of those upgrades it won't give you much change and you definitely won't have anybody running up to see what intake you use. All in all K&N.

It'll be my first time getting a cai so I really just wanna see what difference it'll make. I'm expecting just a sound difference

You want sound off rip I'm going to say flow masters [emoji]128527[/emoji] but the sound difference is recognizable though

Big Daddy performance makes a CAI for the S197 that doesn't require a tune and Granatelli as well.. These type of CAI aren't that popular tho.. You'd be better off getting a JLT, Air Raid, Steeda, or an C&L kit and getting it tuned.. Itz a few more out there I just can't remember... These cars respond pretty well to bolt-ons considering the small displacement tho...
Check out americanmuscle.com they'll have just about everything you''ll need for your stang on the site.

5M?

Consign with JLT on your stang too. You plan on upgrading your suspension? First thing I did with mine was getting control arms and a panhard bar

Listen yall quit driving through those damn drive thru car washes.

Unless its touchless its scratching your paint and it doesn't really get your car clean.

Is it really that bad? I've taken my CTS in it a couple times and it actually did a decent job.
