not sure

just going by he had an exhaust installed, he had two different ones actually. but the one who stayed with was the srt8 exhaust

he did have warranty work done and i remember talking to him about it and it was under warranty. He had a 3 year lease. this was in 2008 btw.

Having a hookup that is a srt mechanic at the dealer who doesnt "notice" my headers for any warranty issues, ftw. 8)

ive never heard that in my life SRS

i know PLENTY of people with aftermarket exhaust with no void or anything

And how exactly would you know if said warranty was void or not? Because they told you it wasn't? I can assure you it is. EVERY factory warranty is limited to defects; less wear and tear and does NOT cover or seal after market items. Any aftermarket add to either engine or exhaust voids the limited bumper to bumper warranty given from the manufacturer.

I know this because it my job to sell Service Contracts.

EDIT:

FYI it will not VOID your power-train warranty. Although your PT warranty is essentially useless, without your BB to cover the actual computer components associated with it.

Once again i know because my friends took their cars to the dealership, My friend replaced the exhaust on his leased V6 charger a few years back. No issues..

i never heard it honestly

Lol at replacing exhaust on a v6 Chally...

 i know

it was charger and he got it for free. it was from a srt8 his cousin had and it fit so he put it on

Reading comprehension skills not up to par lol...

And I mean, can't turn down a free SRT exhaust... Probably made it sound sick and added 15hp or so...

My boy been looking at used challenger RTs lately an now I want one even more than I wanted one before.

Ima sucker for lights. I love what ppl do to the halos em.

also they hold value really well

That Accord is dope as hell. Whats wrong with it? I mean if you dont like the stanced look then alright, but its not even an extreme stanced.

Dude wanna use "ugly" way too much.

congrats @WhatCanISay

$38k for the launch is a great deal considering the crazy markup on those around my way. hell, i don't even think you can get a limited here for $38k. are you driving below 4k rpms until the 1k mile break in?

mine is set to be here in mid June or early July

Thanks, dude!

The salesman said it comes broken in from the bench, but I have been driving it at under 4k for sure just to be safe.

Anyone know if that break-in from the bench is accurate?
And it revved to 5k once or twice on accident. Did I do any harm?

Edit: just saw that you're getting one as well. Good stuff, fam, you won't be dissapointed that's for sure  :smokin
i think the recommended break in period from subaru is 1k

anything past 5k rpms oncee in a while shouldn't be too bad. i've been reading up on the forums ever since placing a deposit on the car. the majority of owners hit the 1k mark and just start smashing on the gas

did you consider the evo x?

Ya I kind of just been babying it as I do my AM. But I revved to 5 without realizing it once or twice. I was basically driving it exactly at 2.5-3.5k rpms (very rarely 4k)
Can't wait to hit 1.5-2k miles

I did, but I just couldn't see myself buying it. The true Evo's in my opinion *flame suit on* are the 8 or 9's. (I'm inlove with that 4G63 rally looking monster :smokin)
But the X's do look dope af, just not for me.

Did you put any thought into the CLA45?...

It's a nice car, but I already have a Euro so I didn't want that crazy luxury for my DD. I wanted a car I can have fun in and modify. I'm extremely happy it comes well equipped with features inside so that's def. a plus.

But, I would've been happy with a regular radio, the steering wheel and a shifter. :smokin

That's actually why I said the CLA 45... Not that luxurious lol... And has one hell of a 4 banger and Awd...

Oh, whoops

I figured it was a benz ///amg so it had to have luxury. Ya, I really wanted a JDM evo/STI just because I've been infatuated with them since I was like 15. And, ///AMG depreciation is probably the highest out of most vehicles/makers.

I think this limited edition will hold its value well. I plan on keeping it anyway but it's nice to know that I have a car a few years down the road that costs nearly as much as what I paid for it. Of course, there will be some depreciation but these cars hold their value pretty well.

Believe me, I think you made the right choice... Just really interested if people were cross shopping them at all...

Got it for a lil under sticker at $38k :smokin
Gold BBS' :smokin

:smokin Nice pickup and welcome to the subie club. I was at the subaru dealer a few weeks ago picking up floormats for my 15 wrx and they had a white STI with red rims there. Car is so nice!

i saw this joint in person a couple weeks ago finally. launch edition wit da gold BBS. :x  so clean. STI is my next car, its just a matter of do i want a limited and grab a sunroof, or not. either way I like my '12 hatch but :smh: da 15 is too fire.

Got to drive the 2015 WRX/STi for work on the Canadian launch. Seriously an awesome car. I'd even be content with picking up a WRX instead of the STi. The WRX actually has more torque up to around 4500RPM compared to the STI.

Really considering picking one up next year. Great cars.
