Not true. The light scatters in all directions, not just up and down. Even if they're aimed down, some light will still scatter upwards.
This is correct. HIDs shouldn't be used with reflectors, imo. If you're going to replace your stock halogens with HIDs, go with a projector retrofit. Provides better output, and doesn't blind other drivers.

Here's my retrofit that I did a few years ago. One of my favorite modifications to my car.

Does the WRX still have awful top end? I remember borrowing a bug eye for a weekend and the thing would rip 0-60 but it wouldn't even move on the freeway. Had to cruise in the right lane with minivans passing on the right.

Appreciate ya, man. Got a small burn from the oven when heating up the headlamps to open them up, but well worth it.

13.8 and 14.2 1/4 miles though :x

wtf were those drivers doing?
More factors then just that man, DA and temperature play a big role too.

This also illustrates why real racing > keyboard racing. Magazine and manufacturer numbers are just that, numbers. Who knows the conditions they used to obtain (maximize) them.

of course, but usually the stock times from motortrend and similar places are fairly easy to match or beat if you drive the car hard.

the STI is supposed to run a 13.3 stock

Few weeks and should have either a 2013 or 2014 Sonata fully loaded.

Since it's a lease, will only get tints unfortunately.
