Instead of Jetta I went with a Sonata. Now I can get serious about my project to the right.

Random, but in some of the rich suburbs of Dallas, I've been seeing a lot of 2014 Nissan Sentra's

Less than $18K car sitting in front of million dollar homes.
Then I looked up the mpg..30 city/39 hwy, must be used as commuter cars.

400

As a matter of fact, I see more new/used luxury whips in lower income areas.

i watched a couple youtube videos to get the gist of it. it took me like a full 3 months to do my first car, but i was being extra tedious and taking it extra slow...along with not doing anything to the car for weeks at a time. at first i refused to use a heat gun for whatever reason, but then i eventually figured out that it makes everything so much easier when you use one.

thanks. any recommendations on heat gun and best/cheapest place to order wrap?

The age old question..... appearance mods, or performance mods

I'm ready to start modding my Lightning, but I only have the cash to either drop it, or get a ported blower. Decisions decisions :rolleyes

You need more power

There's never enough power

Automatic + hand on shifter doe?

Haha I rest my hand there when I drive. I find it comfy, not trying to pull off the standard look

" Poor is flashy, rich is loud, wealthy is quiet."

Doesn't Warren Buffet drive a old *** Buick?

The residents of the United Arab Emirates would disagree.
Plenty of Russian families would disagree.
Plenty of Chinese and Hong Kong families would disagree.

Buffet is one man, a rare man at that. There are thousands upon thousands of wealthy people who are hella flashy with the whips, and there's nothing wrong with that. It just depends on their personal preference.

that is his own fault ppl should know what they are getting into

old german you better have at least 2k in a fund for repairs at any given time, or get your DIY own an source your own parts or get on the forums for help

smh

know a lady who got a used range rover from one of those ghetto nyc lots an was upset she had to pay 2k in repairs within the first month
True story.

My dad bought a random '98 740 li from a auction. 130k miles and some other ****. Only paid $800 for it, cosmetically was flawless, everything else.............

Tires and alignment = $2200
Engine flush/oil scrape = $1500
Brakes = $700
New radiator = $900
Other random fixes = $2k+

Thats just what he spent the first 2 months. The lower radiator hose busts every other week and ****** slips like crazy now. Told him you better have some money stacked up and patience before he bought it, ignored me like ****. Looks good tho.

yeah...i just got some regular heat gun from home depot. i don't think it's anything fancy, but you can adjust the temperature and power on it a little. too much heat is a no no so i keep it pretty low. i've read that some people use hair dryers, but i've also read that they're ineffective so i can't really vouch for those.
