Anyone ever make their dealership pay for a full car detail?
Took my car in for maintenance on Saturday and specifically asked them not to wash my car because they leave water spots and of course, they wash the car. There's water spots everywhere. Have any of y'all have ever threatened legal action unless they pay to have the spots removed?
Threatening legal action without first having a civilized conversation with the service manager sounds like a great idea

Just asking if anyone has ever had to go that route. Of course, I'll speak with them and ask that they rectify the situation first.

Hm, forgot to ask the dude for the damper tool/key to adjust my coils. Is there any way around this? Its seriously too damn stiff in the city.

Bruh clay bar scratches the living hell out of clear coat. Don't ever let anyone touch your car with clay bar unless they are hitting it with a buff/polish after

Yeah, it'll be getting a buff/polish after for sure. Tried a regular wash today and the water spots are still there, so I'm thinking a clay bar will get them off.

Water spot remover would probably work better just be very careful. Don't rub too hard don't use a rag that can scratch. Try to get one for paint not for glass

Any water spot removers that you would recommend? I was just thinking of paying someone to detail the car because there's light swirl marks that I want buffed out as well, but if the water spot remover is easy enough then I can do that myself.

Picking up the 911 from my buddy's shop tomorrow evening. Got a full opticoat applied. They did the wheels, windows, mirrors, literally everything on the car. This is my first vehicle that I have had the opticoat applied to. Anyone in here have any experience? I don't plan on keeping the car silver for longer than a year, will most likely wrap it sometime in 2015, but according to him i'll be able to get rid of the brake dust just by blowing on the rim now...

Need some urgent help guys...
Yesterday morning, I turned my car on for the first time in the day to make a quick ten minute drive. I got a warning that the engine was hot and a few seconds later another message that the engine was too hot and to turn it off. After i turned it back on i drove home and did not get any warnings for the rest of the day.
Well just my luck, as i was driving to work this morning i got the same message again, ten to fifteen minutes into my drive.
I looked it up and im mostly reading that is might be an electrical water pump failure?
I drive a 2007 530 and its below freezing here where i live.

Do you have a temperature gauge in the car? What is it reading? Also, another idea, since it's below zero, do you have any antifreeze in it, or is it just mostly water in the radiator?
