\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

So I went to check out the car. The car drives well, brakes are responsive, tires have plenty of tread left in them, it doesn't swerve to one side when I let go of the wheel. Some of the negatives is that there's scratches and a few small dents around the car. It might need a new paintjob as well, looks like the sun is eating thru the clearcoat on the roof. The front leather seats weren't taken care of, they were all wrinkled and kinda dirty.

Youre better off getting a stock car.
why?

At that price, since it's your first time buying a car, I would strongly recommend getting it checked out for peace of mind, and so you know what you're getting yourself into. I'm usually a little hesitant buying cars that people have had for only a short amount of time (having said that, the Sierra I just sold yesterday I only had for a month and a half, the buyer didn't seem too worried ), so that would be another reason to get it looked over.

Those mods are pretty minor, they wouldn't scare me off of buying that car as long as they were done properly.

Lastly, if he's asking $6700, you can definitely get it for cheaper, there's ALWAYS a little wiggle room off anyone's asking price. Bring cash when you go to negotiate after the car has checked out, you'll be surprised how flexible people will become when there's cash in front of them. Don't hesitate to walk away if there's a couple things wrong with the car. Don't believe him when he says he bought it for $6700 and wants his money back.
Thanks for the tips.

It's auto

I got $19k for the BRZ

it's crazy one dealer basically didn't even want it :smh:

the car is failing, 2015 models aren't selling and people are getting rid of the 13 and 14's

Hopefully Subaru realizes they need to make the STi model or do something about the lack of power

How many miles did your brz have on it? I'm surprised to hear that actually, thought it would hold it's value decently.

Anyone have any good tips on negotaiting on used car prices? Im looking into buying either a used 13 honda civic or a infiniti g model from 08-11. How much can you get off the asking price.

As a female, I surprisingly have amazing negotiating skills
My car was listed at $22,900. I walked out paying $15,000 (obviously before tax, tags, title, etc but with a fantastic warranty). And this was at one of the more popular dealerships where I live.

Bottom line: you have to be okay with walking away from the car. Let the salesman know that up front.

I was able to talk him down to $6,200. It's way too hot in S.Fla for black interior :rolleyes

i would still walk away. If the roof color is gone and its not the clear its gonna cost alot. I would walk and look for something better
x2

6,200 is good for a TSX but not something you won't come across again, then when you factor in that you need to spend like 3k for a paint job or deal with a ****** looking roof? nah walk away man

think my car is done. Drove it to LA and I had to add oil over there.

Drove it back, and I had to add oil over here. smh

It had about 20k on the dash

Overall worldwide BRZ sales aren't great and they are declining in the USA

You check the oil pan?

It might be leaking

Naw man, it leaks but not enough to go that low on the dipstick. It's gotta be burning. Left the bay area and the dipstick was perfect, got to LA and it wasn't even close to the first dot. :smh:
Uh oh that sounds like heavy engine work possibly

You should get that checked out

No problem man. One more tip. Don't check out cars at night! They'll always look better then they are, you'll miss seeing scratches and dents. If you noticed scratches and dents at night on this TSX, chances are there are a bunch more you didn't see that would show up in the sunlight. It's pretty common for leather seats to wrinkle up a little with age, but the peeling clearcoat is a killer, like everyone else said, if it needs a paintjob, it isn't worth 6200.

BRZs suck. Subaru should have made something similar to the RS 2 door model and put some kind of forced induction on it.

Dealer wanted me to shell out $600 for a new tailpipe. If only he knew I already have the parts at home and can do it myself. Loved his enthusiasm, though.

Finally getting rid of my G tonight, the 911 is gonna have a new playdate.

Picking up a 2014 fully loaded ActiveHybrid 3 M-Sport. 12k off sticker.

Bout to cop da Prius on dubs.

Semi srs about da dubs, not the Prius
