That hemi was clearly a track car b

I'm not trying to get into it with you. I've been to shift sector and most everything is there daily driven.

At the end of the day my opinion when I see some loud v8 mustang or something drive by I just feel like it's very juvenile. Beyond lacking refinement, to me those just lack class. I'm not talking about stock, just those v8's with exhausts that people try to wake graves with. Even worse when it's not an SRT or GT cause those things bark louder than they bite.

Man **** class.

You want class buy one of those girl cars.

This is a somewhat of a serious topic after receiving my car and taking it on the street the past two days...

You guys who push "nice" whips and what not, how do you deal with the attention and stuff you get on the road driving? From pedestrians on the street to other cars driving past you, idk it's starting to bother me. The persistant stares, people having convos about the car, checking it out when you park it etc...do you just get used to it? Idk I sort of feel uncomfortable driving my car now, I kind of miss the normal non attention that I got with my previous cars.

Is it something you just get used to?

Yes you get used to it.

2 days?! U scooped a Rari or something.
I don't think its something u get used to.
I imagine it can get annoying on any level
esp if ur an introvert kinda person. This
is why some people like sleepers & some
whips are meant to be pushed for fun, not
duty.

, im not trying to brag or anything, just saying what I noticed and don't really enjoy about it...maybe just cause it's new people arent used to seeing it on the road

Take it back then since it obviously bothers you :rolleyes
I mean how often do people see a lexus nx on the street?

At first it was cool, then it got kind of annoying. I don't mind the thumbs up and what not, I just hate when they tell you to roll your window down, only to ask you "what kind of car is that" or "how much did you pay". When I'm thinking they're going to ask me for directions or some kind of help
mean.gif

You'll get used to it.
Neven gotten the pay question, always got the what is it after taking the letters off my A5. I don't mind it at all, my job forces me to talk to strangers everyday so Ill definitely chit chat with a random peep about cars.

Was your previous car a Camry, that got no looks, so now a handful of looks is a big change, and bothers you? I can't see the NX stopping traffic, it isn't an exotic, and it isn't a wild done up custom of some type either. People are just looking because they've probably never seen one before and just want to know what it is. Hell, I'd never even heard of a Lexus NX til you came in here and said you bought one. Give it a couple months, and there will be hundreds on the streets, and you'll fade into obscurity, and be just another guy driving a crossover.

Yeah I probably wouldn't look twice at it. No offense it's really nice I just don't see what the big deal is. I'm sure it'll stop eventually? So just deal with it for now I guess

This. :smokin

I'll just leave this here:

But what about class? What do you do when you have to drive around a client or someone important? Surely that thing would come off a bit childish IMO. V6 > cars with zero class.

why would u take a client out in ur twin turbo track car?
cmon fam

 right ?

Clients ?

Beyond the fact that's definitely not a daily... ole boy is rocking a soul patch for Christs sake... I highly doubt his "clients, if any, are concerned with the car he drives.

I swear man... some of the **** NTers say :smh:

I dont even drive a nice car like thatI drive a dam 3 series and i get the how much? All the time

I dont mind when strangers have car convos with me tho pretty dope imo usually ask me the year how i like it plans on mods etc

I've always been torn between the 77 and 80 coupes... I like the sharp roofline on the 80 more than the sloping glass in the 77, but I like the 77s rear quarter windows much more than the 80.

Yea, I tend to not ask anybody about how much they paid (I didn't even ask my brother about his ///6, until you guys made me  )

Probably just me. I'll give people props, maybe ask the mods and plans. Don't really go into the "how much is insurance on that brah?" "How much you payin a month?", etc. etc.

I probably expect people to treat me the same way lol
how do you spend on insurance btw? Srs question :nerd:

Almost the opposite of that

I have an Audi A5 Sline black on black 6 speed that i drive occasionally on the weekends.  You don't see em around here too often.  Add to the fact that i usually keep my car very clean, people usually tell me very nice car or give me a thumbs up.  They're just admiring a beautiful machine.  No big deal.

That 80-82 sports coupe caprice Impala :pimp:

Too bad they only offered the 350 for police units (which is why I'm copping the 77-79 version)

That delta 88 couldn't rock switches with the wheels that big. You wouldn't be able to do nothing.

I'll pass on the glass house. They clean when done right tho.
