\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

I think its dope seeing older dudes pull up
in boy racer whips to their corporate gigs.
**** societies standards B. "That car would
be nice if I was 21." How many dudes in their
20's dropping 40k+ on a whip?

To a certain extent. If tastefully done, yes. But when the car has some annoying loud exhaust and a spoiler like its ready to fly, it's tacky. Dudes in the office will look down on those types of cars.

So many people worried about what others think about your whip. Smh.

If u drive a bmw.. u gotta get this... if you drive a lexus or audi it has to be this.. Dambs fambs. Unless you driving a lamb or rarri... let me cook!

What car? I actually like the look of slotted or drilled rotors but your better off stock. Red calipers would be even more tacky.
Lexus GS

I want a look similar to this

My car is white. My car is white. I know red calipers have been doing over and over but they look great on white cars.
i would check out clublexus.com for specific car related questions vs trying to ask on here
This is so clean. Still one of my favorite cars of all time.

Saw a 40 year old driving this car around today with a teddy bear or something hanging off the car smh

I see people doing weird *** stuff like that in these kind of cars all the time and I swear that's why I never got into them at all.

Traditionally, hanging a charm on your towhook meant that the driver of the car was out with the intention of looking to accept a race. Nowadays though a lot of people just leave them on 24/7 as part of the "JDM TYTE !" aesthetic.

Is that the new sti spoiler?

That's actually a stock spoiler from a 1999 VR-4. That's the only year they came in and is somewhat of a "unicorn" look for the 3000GT since it costs about as much as some carbon GT racing wings ($1,200+). There are aftermarket wings in that style that are made from carbon fiber, but they flap in the wind (the wing is about 5 feet wide). The new STI wing is a great look and similar style but would be way too narrow for the wide butt of the VR-4. Still, I think the 99 VR-4 wing is hard to beat as the king of ramen tables as far as stock wings go.

What do you guys think about the 2015 Cayman S?

EDIT: I know we all drive lambos and ferraris and Bentleys..but truthfully.. hows the Cayman S? Anyone own one?

1. Is it yours? It looks nice
2. is it a real vr4?

Lol its not even cheap tho. It's no as expensive as most porsches but dope as hell. Iam considering getting a cayman s. Beats driving anything else for the price. BMW to me is dope but mehh. I currently drive an is350 which u love but dambs. This cayman is wett. What do u drive now?

First time I've entered this thread.

I'm looking to make some modifications to my car over the next couple of months.

I'd like to get some drilled rotors and red calipers. I've read that the cheap rotors are susceptible to crack. Can someone recommend a good reliable brand that won't be too expensive.
don't cheap out on brakes man. Get something nice like Wilwood,Stoptech,Brembo, etc. or just leave the brakes alone

when the rotors and big brake calipers fill out the rim....and when said rim fills out the wheel well.

you thinking to cop as a dd?

yessir. Hell, with the lease specials they have . more than likely go that route. I like NEW. lol, CPO is nice if i planned on keeping it forever but i dont. i switch out cars very often..

in the last 1.5 yrs ive had

2013 brz limited..for fun
2013 accord exl navi coupe as a daily

got rid of both and copped me a

2015 is350 f sport
and a 14 civic for my lady who drives like 4 miles to work lol...she wanted a civic so I gave her da civic.

my commute aint bad.. and I plan on doing ZERO to this porsche if i get it. doesnt need anything really.

ive been hearing a lot of +++ on the PDK system and a 50/50 with manual.

I already know NT is all about DA clutch..but mehh..

I've read its a dope car to DD, but it really wants
to stretch its legs. So its only really fun in the higher
revs. If u can have fun driving it stock, do so kuz mods
can get pretty expensive. Not so sure on the new ones
but the older models dudes were upgrading the plenum,
intake, throttle bodies, and exhausts. If u only plan
to lease it u shouldnt have to worry too much. Oh
and make sure u track it so u can really appreciate
the handling it was blessed with.

yup i feel you. I wouldnt do much for it..kinda getting over doing stuff on cars.. hence why my lexus now all i did was coils, wheels, fsport exhaust (factory) and tint. thats it... its a v6 and got plenty of pull for me.. its a fun car.. but wheels and drop is it. the cayman already has a pretty good stance especially if you upgrade the wheels to 19-20inch. that cayman s i posted up is exactly the color scheme i would do, same wheels same everything. dd to work and back and occasionally to sf here and there. I am 28, got a great job. got all my stuff in order and this is just for me for fun.

any feedback on Manual Vs PDK on these? people praise the PDK on this car ..best paddles on the market
