Those new Sonata and Genesis are

"Lower brand" cars definitely have closed the gap from the "upper" car range. It is hard to justify now spending 60/70k on a car when you can get something just as nice in the 28-40k range for the most part. A lot of it is brand loyalty and the name in itself of being able to say you afford and drive "x car"
umm 60-70k range includes Jaguar F Type and Maserati Ghibli, what in the 28-40k range is just as nice?

Yea after I typed it, I thought it was a bit high, but didn't feel like editing it. Now I gotta go do it

So maybe I should drop it to 30k range vs. 45-50k range or something

Did anyone know you could get a turbo charged monte Carlo from the factory around the same time the grand national was in production?

Going to have the new Genesis as a loaner car next week. I think they look really good. Hoping I get a 5.0 AWD version but probably going to be a base model.

Yep, they were actually available earlier than the GN. Same engine from the Turbo Regal that appeared in 1978

Grand national's didn't appear in mass until 1984 (although they made a small amount of regals with a grand national package in 1982).
