Just sad that almost every subie driver gives me the stoneface every time I give him the thumbs up

#foreveralone
You mean every subie driver? Or just wrx drivers?
I imagine you giving a mom in a forester a thumbs up and her giving you the stone face

Anybody attending the LA Auto show, thinking about going tomorrow.

Yea same here. Just about every single WRX/STI driver.

Either nod, thumbs up, beep, or high beam, or the surfer type wave with your thumb and pinkey

Had this happened on the highway while I was driving my girl's Prius...

There was a Hawkeye about a mile as I could identify the difference with my expertise lol;

Pulled to the right lane and crept up on him and looked at him, then I proceed to give him a thumbs up..

He return a thumbs up then slowed down a bit, next thing I heard him downshifting to 3rd and actually returned a big favor by ripping through to 4th.

NOICE!

Wow, 2016 Camaro got Motor Trend car of the year.

 Posted this yesterday and people seem to have overlooked it.

Where were you when the Mustang became irrelevant ?

Here’s one where the new Camaro might actually transcend the criteria. Is this the best production ponycar the world has ever seen? Without hesitation, yes. What was interesting to me is that we judge types weren’t talking about the Camaro in relation to the Mustang GT that we brought along as a benchmark. We were talking about future Camaro comparison tests against BMWs, Audis, and AMGs. I’d even throw Porsche into that mix. MacKenzie sums up our feelings: “A revelation. Absolutely world-class sports car performance and dynamics from an American icon. The new Camaro is one of the finest driver’s cars in the world. And that’s before you even talk about the price.” It’s also absolutely *****in’, and it’s the 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year.

BMW BTFO!

Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d write: The Chevrolet Camaro is a better, more entertaining car to drive than a BMW 3 Series. In more than 30 years of testing cars I have experienced several moments of dazzling, crystalline revelation: that the original Mazda Miata was the most sublimely, delicately, intuitively tactile sports car ever built; that underneath the seductive scarlet curves of a Ferrari 348 lurked a sulky, evil-tempered bunny-boiler; and that the Ford Raptor was one of the most original performance vehicle concepts from a mainstream automaker, an entertaining and engaging ride that was also uniquely and uncompromisingly American.

This one, though, was totally unexpected.

Welp I was already dipping my feet in the water, now ready to dive in head first.

The Bow tie :pimp:

So apparently the "AWD" focus RS is just a mustang ecoboost engine, boosted to 24lbs?

Anyone have any info on this?

If it's relevant, my STI is boosted at 24lbs. right now. I think like 16psi stock, and it makes nearly 100whp more than the RS at 24 lbs. This is why I'm asking if it's true or not. It doesn't make any sense.
For those keeping track, this is the same engine offered in the current Mustang, which gives it 310 horsepower. The kick in output is thanks in part by a new low-inertia twin-scroll turbocharger that increases the air flow. A bigger intercooler maximizes charge density, too, all helped by the large air apertures on the front, increasing engine breathing.

What doesn't make any sense is you comparing your car, with tens of thousands of dollars in aftermarket parts, and a aftermarket tune, to a car with an engine that is slightly smaller and conservatively tuned so as to have a warranty for many years. C'mon man, you're comparing apples to oranges here

I saw it but had already read the article. What do you mean with that Mustang question?

I'm really tempted to get a '16 SS but it just wouldn't be smart right now. We'll see come spring.

It was a joke.... kinda. Camaro vs Mustang have been long time rivals but the new Camaro blows the Mustang out of the water so badly, it's not being compared to other pony cars, but rather much more expensive European competition.

That RS sounding like the best bang for your buck if your into those cars ford at it again :nthat:

im not a ford guy, although that GT is absolute sex. but my boy has a ST, and that **** is easy on the eyes, and actually really fun to drive.

the best part? Ford offers ST buyers a day to train at their racing school in colorado, free of charge. includes morning class, and the rest of the day on the track. plus they offer tuning for your car that WON'T void warranty (obviously they do it through someone they have an agreement with).

like i said, you won't find me acting like im doing it in a ford taurus..or a focus. but with respect to the ST and im guessing all this goes for the RS, you do get good value. and i've been saying subaru has been stingy for a LONG time on what you get for the money. they're getting better it seems tho.

the RS looks to be a great car, especially if they offer better deals than STIs (dealers need to **** with that 40K sticker on a subaru, that **** ain't worth near that) and the RS i gotta say is well designed. cabin is much smaller than my rex Hatch tho :x
