\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

As long as the body and floors/trunk are solid, 8500 is a reasonable price for a running and driving 64. If you're planning on customizing one, I'd probably get this one if it's solid.

Yea all the ones that drive but need work at between 7-12, the ones that already look good are at least 17k plus.

Now how do I know if the body trunk and floor are solid, don't some people hide the messed up stuff with paint?

1000

Must only be Europe

Damn

Noooo don't camber :frown:
Save your money and put it towards a stash for an EJ25 swap and STi trans.

I'm trying to avoid camber, but im sure I'm gunna need some.

But yes! I have a VF39, Sti tmic, that I haven't put in yet. Next thing on my list is 1000cc injectors, a tune, then hopefully 6 speed. I just hope it lives long enough.

I plan on buying a FXT sometime next year.

Yea that's about the price ranges for 62-64 impalas.

If you know a body man, that would be ideal, bring them with you. The trunk you should be able to tell, but yea, checking the body and floors could be difficult. You never know what is lurking behind shiny paint.

Bring a magnet with you (kinda old school, but it should help you detect bondo and other bad bodywork). Pay attention to the rocker panels and bottoms of the quarter panels. Google and read some articles about detecting bad bodywork. If after first glance, it looks half decent, bring it somewhere you trust for an inspection like WCIS said.

Dopeee, man. Definitely doing it right. :smokin
Probably a nasioc regular?

You already have an EJ25 in it?
That one bugeye ran a 9.5 on the 1/4 with an IAG closed deck short block, I'm assuming IAG stage V heads, 1/2" headstuds and PTE6766 at only 43 psi :wow:

That was a huge build, though.

Hahha yeah, I usually lurk around there from time to time. But no still a EJ20. But damn that sounds like a mean build lol. My goal tbh is just to get around 300 whp

my bad if yall posted this already but i just seen it

918 #1 had mclaren n rari shakin in their boots on the burg :pimp:

im surprised it beat out the bugatti on the drag tbh :wow:

quick question for everybody in here....AWD or RWD?

can you please list some pros and cons

Inb4 WCIS responds. :nerd:

but that question doesn't even make sense tho lol. best answer is it depends.
you're right I worded that incorrectly

I just wanted to know some differences between RWD and AWD. I'm seriously considering getting something else next summer, so that's why I posted that.

Where I live we have thunderstorms and it rains almost year round resulting in flooding. But our terrain is pretty flat though, no mountains or steep hills.

AWD is gonna be your best option if it rains almost year round where you are. Better traction in the rain. RWD is fun when it's dry, but it gets old sliding around in the rain, and being the slowest car on the road, cuz you can't get any traction

Some basic differences. AWD is gonna have less power vs an identical RWD vehicle as AWD has to drive 4 wheels. RWD can do easier burnouts and is easily driftable. AWD will have good traction in most weather conditions, RWD generally sucks in the rain and snow if you have some power.

Tires, tires, tires! Unless you're dealing with snow or any other type of loose surface year round, you will be just fine with rwd. Tires are the most important factor when it comes to traction. Yes, AWD has its benefits with positive accelation but if you're not overpowering the the friction force of the drive wheels of 2wd then it's not necessary. With ****e tires, any vehicle will handle poorly no matter how many wheels have power. It's about having control while the vehicle is in motion. I'm not trying to downplay AWD but it isn't necessary for rain or just a couple months of snow. Also, the 2-3% power differential between RWD and AWD is negligible.

I guess for me, I just really enjoy the feeling of being planted that AWD can give you in the rain. RWD will definitely be fine in the rain and snow if you're not driving aggressively, especially with some good tires, but it just doesn't inspire the same confidence as AWD, and there's only so much good tires can do.

For the record, I drive a Lightning that has no weight in the back, and is rwd, and it rains a lot here. I'll be driving it all winter, and yea, I'll be fine as long as I drive normally when the weather is bad. I'm just saying, having owned both, if it rains or snows a lot throughout the year, AWD will probably be more enjoyable then sliding around whenever you try to push it. Here, about 4 months out of the year are filled with rain, we get maybe 2 days of snow, and the rest is pretty decent.

how much longer you have to pay on it? financing a 10 year old bimmer  with already 100k miles may not be the move
