Bimmerfest in Cali only or is there an Eastcoast one?

I love car events and meeting others

Gives me more insight
Cali only for now bro. Us east coasters gotta band together and organize one that isn't so far one of these years. But there is a group that travels from the east coast to bimmerfest every year. Hundreds, thousands maybe. Just one big *** convoy of BMWs on I-10 West

What?!

They drive their Bimmers to Cali?

So many risk and wear and tear.

Correction, just googled it and apparently there is a bimmerfest on the beast coast. No idea when and where the one for 2016 is though

Serious. Should be dope

I've been to VW/Audi events in the past. Always good times

Btw does everyone have GAP insurance? I didn't, I know.

So I totaled a Honda that was like 3 months old stopped making payments while ago and it's just now getting cleared out by Insurance. I asked my lawyer how much am I gonna get screwed. He is like, "Unfortunately the car was still so new, so you're not gonna have any money left for you. You literally owe like $100 dollar difference."

I laughed and said, that's great!

I did some research on GAP insurance before I bought my last vehicle and didn't know what it was to be honest.

You only need GAP insurance if you owe more on the vehicle than the car's worth, basically if you spend only a small down payment and finance most of the car's price. Some insurance companies will automatically cancel the policy when you've put in enough equity.

When I bought my wife's car in 2013 I only put $5,000 down on a $40,000 vehicle because I got 0.9% financing. I guess at the time I would have qualified for GAP insurance but for only a small period of time, but now I have enough equity I don't need it.

I think you need gap insurance if your down-payment isnt big enough to cover the insurance payout if something was to happen to the car. So lets say u only owed 10k on the car and it was worth 15k to the insurance you wouldn't need it but if you owe 15k and the insurance says its worth 10k you should have the gap insurance because they pay the rest.

This is what i took from a conversation i had about it with a dealer friend of mine about it. My boy wrapped his loan from his VW to a BMW :smh: and he needed it because he was going to be underwater for a very very long time

Im still not all the way clear lol

I will get on next car screw that, I know a boy that had GAP on his Toyota Camry he told me stop playing games.

I totaled a VW I was left with almost 900 to pay I never heard of GAP being required maybe depends on the car?

How many cars have you totaled?!

It's only required if the lender says so but it's a smart thin to have if you're starting out with negative equity in a vehicle.

I think it's weird seeing newer 'luxury cars' without USB ports, am I too new school?

random thought after watching a fouseytube video and he said something about he has to go buy a car charger

No  my almost 10 year old E90 has one. However, it isn't compatible to play music straight from the iPhone to USB. Haven't tried Android.

They tried to get me to pay for GAP insurance on my M3 loan. I loaned $7500 on a car that bluebooks for over $30k and she still tried to sell me on it "well if the car becomes worth less than you owe on it you are going to wish you had it"

 hell naw

People with no down payment and 72mo even 60mo terms should get it though cause at some point you will be upside down

Going to be in the market for a new four door car this year. Probably won't sell any of the current cars.

I'm deciding between SUV, Sport Wagon, sport sedan...

SUV would be great for snow trips but honestly that happens once or twice a year.

SUV:

- new 4runner TRD pro $43,000

SWagon:

- used audi s4 or Eclass wagon

Sedan:

-used four door M3
-used rs4/s4

Kinda torn because on one end i want a brand new car, but on the other the used options are more fun.

The evo and the s2k are not going anywhere.

i vote M3 unless you need something in your fleet for off road & snow since i assume the Evo doesn't get used in those conditions, then i'd go with the 4Runner.
