\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Somewhat a personal attack, but I'll entertain it.

When I "post my car" in the "post your car" thread, people have a problem with it. Safe to say "certain" people will have a problem with anything WCIS related.

All of the discussions (aside from this one) have been directly about, or related to cars. Which is why I discuss them in this thread. It's not the first time states have been brought up, along with their economy, car scene/culture, racing/show events, etc.

It's also not the first time I've been consistently harrased/attacked.

First of all, I was pretty obviously directing my posts at the group of users who tend to be responsible for this garbage.  You are included in that, but you are not as singularly significant as you'd care to believe.  You are not the whole problem.  You are PART of the problem - and that will no longer be true one way or another very soon.

I think it's fair to say that nobody is bothered by your car.  People are bothered by you constantly bragging about your car like it could win a quarter mile drag race against a laser beam, the Flash, and an F-14 Tomcat piloted by Goose's ghost.  Stop it.  Every other page it's "why everyone reading this is jealous of WCIS' car."  From there, it's just trolls trolling trolls and all the reasonable users think it's about as original and funny as a "left shark" joke.

Your state has nothing to do with your car.  Your jewelry has nothing to do with your car.  This should not be a subject of conversation for multiple pages.

Your bring up all this extraneous nonsense whenever you feel that your self-perceived superiority is being challenged.  Everyone is sick of it.

Not everyone is going to be impressed by your car.  And if you spend hundreds of posts PLEADING with them to think otherwise, that's only a reflection of your own insecurity.  That is not going to be everyone else's problem anymore.

I'm not going to make it a rule that everyone has to humor you and pretend that a 2012 Subaru is the envy of all humanity just so we can have some damned peace and civility in this thread.

swapped out my grills finally.  sorry for poorly lit cell phone pic but thats all u get for now

very clean.

Yep. Glad I'm not the only one that noticed.

Oh yeah. Me and you seem to be leading the charge in good quality posts. A lot of people might disagree with our views but thats what happens to true visionaries.

Iiterally 90% of my posts are extremely objective, 10% opinion.

But 100% of them are ALL positive without me EVER personally bashing anybody or their car. I would consider myself a Loser if I would stoop to that.

I try to provide as much Information I've been exposed to or have been educated on as possible. And share pictures of my cars and other cars that I am fond of. And thankfully, I've been able to steer people in the right direction via PMs on a few occasions, and some via this thread.

I'll disagree with a person and have a car debate that can go on for pages, but you will never find me EVER getting personal in this thread, in a negative manner. The only time I get personal is when I discuss myself and everything associated with me.

Anyone is free to go find any posts with negative personal attacks I've made about someone or their ride, in this thread.

Let me help you out: They don't exist.

Sure buddy

terribly small.

im 6'4, i feel absolutely ridiculous in it

They're not alone though. Most old cars are very small and uncomfortable. knees all up in the steering wheel in every one, unless the seat rails have been modified

Yea, it was settled already

I just took it by surprise at the time since I was honestly not trolling, but I guess I can understand how some can think I'm trolling due to how strongly I express my ideologies. I don't know how to prevent that. I can't stop myself from being who I am, know what I mean?

Tell your brother dope Rex for me, and it's about time he voids that warranty. :smokin
You don't pass on many opportunities to express your opinions, which are usually strong and unchangeable, and can cause people to react emotionally. So that's where it stemmed from. I can see where you're coming from though, you stick to your beliefs, and I can respect that.

I've been trying to convince my brother to mod it, but I honestly don't see it happening any time soon. He's been rocking snow tires for the past like 4 months after moving from Saskatchewan back to Victoria :smh: (it doesn't snow here in Vic). Been trying to tell him to buy another set of wheels for it for the summer time, and because I think the wheels that came stock on it are kinda ugly  . No luck so far though. He's got plenty of money, but he's a cheap ******.

I'd like to run him one day with my Lightning, I think it would be a really close race.

Yea, I never really take anything said here to me to heart, and like I said, I can understand when someone may think I'm trolling. I do joke around, of course. But trolling, nah man definitely not in here.

Hey, man I'm still on my stock Summer's so I don't blame him

I'm also a fake stunting, baller/shot caller, though.
So I'm probably buying a new set of tires this Summer haha. Got 16.5k miles on them also, though.
Yea, but he'll be rocking winters IN the summer at this rate  . 16,500 miles ain't bad, if I can get that out of the new Nitto's I just bought, I'll be thrilled.
That won't happen, because either: A. I'll sell it in the near future (quite likely given my track record  ), or B. the Nitto's are somewhat soft, and I'd be lucky to see 10,000 miles outta them

Your wheels look a lot better then the stock WRX wheels too, IMO. I'm not a big fan of these.

Saw one of those today .
Speaking of spotting vehicles, I was in Vancouver this past weekend, and spotted a white Evo. Not sure if it was a 7, 8 or 9, I can't tell. Looked pretty similar to Nelson's old one though, it made me do a double take

I think that's actually the first time I've ever seen one in person. Evo's are a rare breed here, the only ones I ever see for sale are imported from the States. I can only assume that the Evo 7,8, and 9 were never sold in Canada? I see lots of Evo X's for sale here though.

 This is why I didn't even bother taking her out in the snow this winter. Worn summer tires + snow= no good.

Yea, I'm not a fan. Is he into wheels, though? If he's not, make sure you steer him in the right direction fam. Kind of get a gist of the style of wheels he likes and you can post it on here. I'm sure you'll get a lot of great suggestions on good quality wheels that meet his taste.
My old man is a mechanic, and was always into muscle cars, he used to have a couple old 60s Camaro's back in the day. I think I got the car bug from him. My younger brother on the other hand...... not so much. I'll keep bugging him about it though, his car would look so much better with a nice set of wheels.

What color should I paint my OEM wheels?

I found a place that powder coats wheels for a pretty good price, with lifetime warranty, including curb rashing or for any reason. I looked at their entire album of pictures and they do an amazing job and can do any color, need suggestions :nerd:

Hyper black/gunmetal is what I was thinking..

Does the quote include removing the tires, and then remounting and balancing them? Gotta keep that in mind too price wise.

As far as what to do, I'd keep the money you'd be spending on powder coating and taking off/installing the tires again, and save a little more, and get a nice set of aftermarket wheels personally. It's always nice to have 2 sets of wheels that you can swap between for summer and winter driving.

Here's my opinion on coloring stock wheels. You can usually only pull it off and have it look half decent if your car is also lowered, and doesn't have much fender gap. I can't tell in the picture, but it looks like your car is stock height, or close to it. As well, coloring your wheels to the stereotypical black suits some OEM wheels better than others. However, if you're set on powder coating them, black or gunmetal would be my 2 choices as well.

no shots but if you're gonna paint the stock wheels they have to already look good

Anybody familiar with catch cans? Thoughts if so. My take on 'em is it reminds me of CAI's, not many "positive improvement results" but haven't heard any negative feedback either, so what's its true worth/value to a vehicle?

It prevents excess oil from going back into the intake. It's more of a preventative measure but from what I know the motor will be fine with or without one. The harder you drive the car the quicker it will fill up. I know guys with LSx's that have to empty the can after a few hundred miles.
