Mazda is :nthat:... They're easily my favorite "cheap" car... They do what they do exceptionally well and don't try to get bigger than they should... They have character that Toyota and Honda lack....

Nice bro! Everyone I know who owns a new Mazda is 100% happy!

May I ask why you love that so much? Why didn't you go with the more spacious cx5 or 7?

And what about this stood out from all their CUV options?

As a 6'3 guy I need more room than that

I looked at the CX-5 but preferred the CX-3 on looks, I don't need a whole lot of space and the CX-3 drives great, also love all the stuff they pack in for the price.

I'm a big fan of Mazda and how they make their cars and understand consumers

Agree 100%, Honda and Toyota seem to just build generic stuff that people buy off name

Honda kept pumping out crap Civic after crap Civic for damn near a decade but they seem to have gotten it right again

Can you elaborate?
You mean character as far as design or as in customer service and integrity with manufacturing?

I'm asking these questions because I'm in the market for a nice "cheap" car so I've been basically looking through CPO Mazda, Hyundai, and Honda cars. It's been tough... It's so hard to find an equal balance between exterior, interior, drive, gas Mileage and enjoyability for the 15k mark (2013 or newer).

Just went and got some Sac's hot dogs, and while waiting at the light I saw a Tour De France blue Ferrari 458 Italia roll by...just when I got to hear the exhaust note as it was going up a bridge team da Hemi (1st or 2nd gen SRT8 Charger with loud *** exhaust) does a totally unprovoked fly by and drowns out the sound smh...

what about leasing something?

I've only driven a couple Mazda's... An old Miata and 1st Gen Speed3... They were both a hoot even if I didn't fit in the mx-5 ...

But their design language is my favorite of all Japanese manufacturers... They've had a clear and focused evolution of it over the past 10/12 years... The current Mazda3 hatch is far and away my favorite car under 20k... There's one parked on my street a stare at every day... It's so damn good looking IMO...

Typically in Portland, I only see the occasional 911 and that's usually the most exotic ... I saw a Vantage V8 about an hour ago... My pants are still wet... It was so :nthat:... It wasn't a wack convertible tho... Who'd want one of those... :nerd:

what do you guys think about pressure washers? hear some detailers that are like go for it and some are like it could damage paint

i got a coin operated carwash next to my house and they got a good one with a few settings

If my dad bought me one and it turned out to be a vert...... I think I could manage.

I've heard that the strong pressure washers can actually grind whatever dirt is on the outside of your car, into the paint, damaging it. I don't know how true that is though, or if the "damage" it could cause is even noticeable, if you know what I mean.

Got one but it only comes out if I'm using my foam cannon. Once the car is foamed I get rid of it and use the regular nozzle.

I had heard that the pressure washers at the coin op are the ones that damage your paint. Something to do with the recycled water not always being 100% filtered, and blasting dirt particles on to your paint. I cared about paint swirls for like the first two months I had my car, but it was too much work trying to maintain perfect black paint, so I just stopped giving a damb. I'm thinking about getting an orbital buffer and some kind of ceramic coating, though.

Even with ceramic coating like cquartz or optimum gloss your car is still prone to swirls. Say a leaf falls on it and gets blown by the wind boom you have swirl marks. I've been doing a lot of reading on coatings and was about to buy one today since a site is offering 20% off which rarely happens but I decided against it. Going to stick with the wax method since there is a chance of the coating being stripped when the car is washed.

Thanks, you just saved me a bunch of time and money! Why the hell do they sell black cars for? And why do I keep buying them? :smh:

what about leasing something?

I'm in an awkward area to lease. My bro lives directly in La and leases his infinity, but I'm about 90 mins north.

In Santa Barbara you basically have to drive to get anywhere with no major airport, so having to commute even to get to LAX would really kill those lease miles. If it wasn't for that I def would.

If I move to LA this year then leasing would make more sense because I would have an airport to use for trips as well, conserving mileage.

Copped the CX-3, loving it

1000

Nice!

I'm 6'1" car was no issues size wise

Nice color

I know some may hate vinyl wrap an all, but I just had to get my roof and window trim gloss black. Something I've always wanted on my past 2 cars. I might do those side roof pieces myself.

Looks dope. Thinking about doing this to my car also. Seen a few and I like the way it looks.

Saw this and fell in love with the black roof

Is it possible to wrap a car in flat black?
The base color is metallic black and it's a lease.

You can wrap a car in any color you want my man.

What about removing it for the lease return?
