Why the hell they got all that unnecessary stuff goin on just for a removable targa top?
roll.gif

Couldn't have just made it a simple pop off like a 911 or Corvette?
911 Targa is motorized now too. But you're right, not that hard to pop it off yourself. And down the road, I see all of these complicated mechanisms, including hard top convertibles, having serious problems. Plus, this motorized targa top I'm sure is adding a bunch of unnecessary weight too.
exactly. unnecessary is just the perfect description of this. Plus you're going to have all the lines around that rear section where it pops up, that wouldn't be there if it were a fixed piece. same way hard top convertibles look. and it doesn't look good IMO

The foxbody 302?
I don't have experience building that engine but it's be cheap to build due to the size of the aftermarket for them
Yee
Im looking for +400 to the wheels but also want room for improvement once i feel i need more power. So im looking to see what my options are so it doesnt matter where more opinions come from. Im about to start hitting mustang forums.

Hmm
Ford Explorer intake manifold
Magnaflow has a nice on for a 302

Gt40 heads
Could maybe have a centrifugal supercharger (vortech) on it .saw on at a car show guy say he had it running with 10 lbs of boost

Check out jegs and classic industries I think they have a catalog on it for top end builds

3.55 gear ratio rear diff swap

Anybody got experience building a 302 or 347 stroker? :nerd:
I have no experience building a stroker, but when I had my fox body stangs, I lurked a lot of 5.0 forums. What I saw was that most people would either do a HCI kit for the stock 302 (heads, cam, intake manifold), or would go stroker. A friend of mine has a 331 stroker that is supercharged in his GT fox body. He took me for a ride in it when it was just a supercharged 302 with HCI, and that thing was just silly! I can't imagine what it is like now.

You have a 94-95 5.0 Stang if I remember correctly, right? For me, if I was in your position, I would be deciding between going with a 347 stroker, or supercharging what you have. It all depends on how much $$$ you want to spend, going fast is NOT cheap, especially if you want it to be reliable, and not have to worry about anything breaking when you go out and beat on it. 400 RWHP will be a lot of power in that SN95!

This is all good bolt-on info Dirty, and these parts are relatively inexpensive as well. GT40 heads and an explorer intake (can get at a junkyard and clean them up), cam, and you'll have a fun little 302. Trickflow makes a REALLY nice HCI combo if you don't mind spending a bit more, that gets most guys to around the 300 RWHP mark, give or take. But if you want 400 RWHP, gonna need a stroker and or a supercharger. And 3.55's (Or 3.73's, which a lot of guys go for) is a really nice upgrade as well.

That said, even 300 RWHP in these cars will be a LOT of fun, you'll have issues getting that power down to the pavement. Like I said up above, it all depends what you want out of the car. A street car that could be daily'd that is a blast to drive (300 RWHP), or something that is more built, putting down more HP, that might not be as practical, and will be a lot more expensive both to build, and maintain.

I have a cobra so it already has gt40 heads and a cobra intake which is better than explorer heads and intake. The supercharger was the plan but it has too many miles for me to just throw it on there. Im going to have to rebuild it and then throw the supercharger on it thats why im looking at other options as a 347 stroker and maybe a 351.

Yeah thats why im Looking for as much info as possible i know these blocks are known too crack at 500+ so im looking to see if i can afford a 351 swap because they hold alot of power and have shown the be reliable but im thinking a 347 stroker is in the budget. Im looking to stay as close to 5k> as possible.

Need some assistance NT car enthusiast.

Shopping for a new car.. Looking for a daily commuter, good on gas, fun to drive, something I can whip for 5-7 years by keeping up maintenance.

Budget is 10-15k. What y'all got?

Been looking at a 13-15' Volkswagen Passat
get a......

Nevermind  I'd steer you in the wrong direction

Used dodge magnum SRT8 or any LX car from

Da 1st generation...noting that gas is gonna

Be cheap for a LONG time considering Iran

& Saudi Arabia are having a marketshare war

Since sanctions on da mullas have been lifted.

Don't believe the hype. Gas won't really be cheap forever. Good luck getting a Chrysler product to last 7 years without issues.

Those LX cars are pretty bulletproof sir,

Many in da law enforcement sector lauded their performance & durability.

And gas will b cheap for ALOT longer, due to

Da rise of da united states as a serious player in da oil business due to da fracking

Revolution.

Speaking of something else, Caprice PPV's go

For about that amount too..very appealing for

A car thats essentially a captive import holden...

Go figure now that I got the STI, gas prices went up a lil in my area. Not turrible though lol
