\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

I think another think that has always turned me off Mercedes is how grossly overpriced they are. That and their transmissions

I cant front and im a Benz guy but your right & some of the cars are def wild overpriced for what you get. Only way to go is premium with that badge.

Yea man. Heres a good example for you, we recently had a 2009 SL63 AMG and a 2010 Porsche GT3 in our showroom. I'm looking at these 2 cars sitting next to each other, and thinking how absolutely insane it is that these cars were probably on the showroom floor at the same time back in 09-10, and the GT3 sticker price was 115k while the SL63 sticker price was 145k. I mean give me a break. That car should have been 70k at most.

Seen this new white sedan that looked sexy as hell on the highway, didnt get a chance to see the make or model, looked like a Lincoln sedan from the rear but had a circular emblem instead of LINCOLN on the trhnj, though it had similar tail lights to the new Lincoln MKS or whatever the sedan is. Also another feature was that the A pillar was "absent", or just really thin. Anyone have an idea? Its bugging me.

I have been in Japan the last few weeks for work and I have been seeing a lot of great cars we don't have in the states. Mose of them being wagon/hatchback versions of cars we have.

The Audi RS6 Avant :smh: truly a beautiful car
Mazda 6 wagon AWD turbo diesel (i think turbo)
Audi R3 avant
WRX Wagon
Some well executed Porsche's and Audi's :smokin

I will post pics when I get some free time. They're all on my cell.

America "doesn't like" hatches. So we miss out on a lot of dope cars. Which is why our roads are full of CUV's/SUV's and complain about gas.

:smh: thats a good example too. The SL63 is a lil beast but cmon paying more for that then the GT3 makes absolutely no sense when they first came out in 09-10.

But anybody with any type of common sense knows you never buy a new BMW Mercedes or Audi if you want one brand new you lease it its very simple why would you buy something brand new when you know your losing at least $10,000 the second your drive off the lot ?

Only time buying might make sense is if you plan on keep it for a while but even then i still don't see that as being smart

Props to GM, if you take your 1LE, ZL1, or Z/28 Camaro to the track and break something, they'll honor your warranty :smokin

“If you’re not modifying your car and you take your production car to a track day and you have an issue with one of your parts, it’s covered under warranty,” [Camaro chief engineer Al] Oppenheiser told Motor Authority. “That’s pride of craftsmanship that we know it will stand up to track use.”

Pretty cool :smokin

Da easiest way to get to where u wanna be when choosing a car is to leave da badge preference LAST..instead, list attributes & skill sets you definitely want in a car..
My G, this is exactly what I said yesterday. That badge is a requirement tho

Badge heritage matter more to me than brand cache, but remember.. A brand merely is an identifying mark of excellence thats shorthand to look for,

Remember what Frank Lucus told Nicky Barnes.

Everyone knows badge flossing is taking a brick of yayo that is ISF and stepping on it 4-5 times and copping a ES300

Da whole Acura brand sans da NSX was an exercise in stretchin da coke and goin OT selling it for more than was puré prices in da boros.

American whips have successfully got product right, now its da SLOW rehabilitation of da stigma of da brands..but in that transitions, many bang for your buck deals can be had.[/Video]

Can someone translate.
The short version is, Acura's are overpriced Honda's, and America makes good vehicles but aren't regarded as such due to a lingering stereotype that came from the 90's and 2000's when the Big 3 were producing some ******** vehicles.

Oh for sure, there are definitely a handful of decent things the Big 3 built during the 90s and 2000s. My Lightning would be a good example :D. My old Trailblazer SS too, Terminator Cobra's, CTS-V, etc. But overall, they made a lot of junk.

A WS6 or Camaro with the LS1 would be fun, although I'm not a huge fan of how that gen Camaro and Firebird looks tbh.

Pulled up to a Mclaren 570 at a stoplight today, someone tell me why these cars have automatic start/stop lol.

This will be my next vehicle once they become more available, people have been waiting up to 5 months for these. Currently have a 2006 RAM.

For that gen I'd choose the firebird

Has more character and design than the camaro

The camaro of that gen looks like something you'd throw at people . Like a pen cap or something .

Saw a dropped first gen CRV on eighth gen SI wheels the other day too. Love at first sight.

I will agree that the firebird has more character, although I'm not sure if that's a good thing in its case

IMO, both of those cars aged HORRIBLY! I was only 7 when the 4th Gen debuted, (dating myself here ) so I honestly don't know how they were received when new though. The good news, however, is both can be had for cheap (not including the ws6 or camaro ss), and are great platforms to mod.

All leasing is doing is paying the amount of expected depreciation for a vehicle over 36 months and 10k mileage per year. Leasing is fine if you always want a car payment, don't drive very much, can claim it as a business expense on taxes, or you can't afford to otherwise buy the vehicle.

Losing $10,000 the second it's off the lot doesn't matter as long as you don't turn around and go back and sell it that minute.

Buying makes sense if the company is known for horrible lease deals (read: Audi, Land Rover, etc), if you drive a lot, or want to keep the car for awhile and eventually not have car payments.

Id argue 3rd gen >> 4th gen.

Looks wise maybe , if modded right
The camaros engine performance of that gen was terrible though .i believe it didn't crack 200 hp in the highest trim

The firebird ..er..... Trans am on the other hand :pimp:
